That's hysterical. Grossly immature, hysterical nonetheless.

Reinhart should have made it, he seemed to fly under the radar all season behind Eichel. Any other team (especially a canadian team) and he would have recieved way more attention. Probably for the best, as a Leafs fan I'm not too thrilled about having Matthews making the young guns team. I'd rather he be focusing on the season. I could see him getting injured in a meaningless game and missing the start of the season.

At most, a team will play five games (much like preseason). They will have a week off before the start of the season.

I guess a case can be made for missing practice times with their NHL teams to develop chemistry, but I still wonder how intense the actual games will be.

I can see them just going through the motions and treating it like a preseason, but I could be wrong.

The thing is, it makes sense to watch sports in winter climates.
Its tough to stay inside and watch sports when its beautiful every day!

That's crazy. High 80's all this upcoming week.

I think 75 year round would be perfect.

I always thought it would be nice to have a MLB team here. I love sitting outside during the summer watching baseball.

But that can get too hot as well. Went to a Texas game in July once. Awful.

I always liked Bisons games because they werent major league prices. Kind of like going to Sabres games in the mid 80's on a weeknight...nosebleeds were like, 8-12 dollars in the aud.
Going to Oakland A's games is kind of like that. SF giants games are just out of control expensive though.
And yeah, knowing where the sun hits in a baseball stadium is a good piece of information.

That's true, I guess I'm most concerned about injury. Hopefully the games aren't too intense.

That's what you get for living in the middle of the desert. But it's a "dry" heat right?

I lived there for a short period. Was there in August. I'd take there 105 degree days over our 85 and muggy days

In what world is Sean Couturier a bottom 6 player in ability or usage? He is without doubt the 2C on the team, and this season was arguably the 1C over Giroux at even strength...possession, scoring, you name it. All while being one of the truly elite shutdown players and PK'ers in the league. If he didn't get injured, he honestly could've and should've been nominated for a Selke (of course we know those awards are a little slow to add new blood).

I'm not saying your Sabres weren't deserving. But do not underestimate Sean Couturier. There is not a U23 player who can go head to head (and win the battle) like he can. He's one of the best in the NHL at any age at it. He's a special 2-way player.

Having a domed stadium is the way to go. The Trop is a terrible stadium but it feels great inside, especially when its 97 degrees outside with 100% humidity. How I loathe the summers...and baseball

Congrats! Looks like you win the Bracket challenge!

Cabin in 2nd and Fastek in 3rd.

I don't think I could've done worse if I tried. That was brutal.

Thanks for everyone that played!
