When all is said and done, I don't think "elite" will be the correct word to describe either Reinhart or Couturier. "Very good", probably, but "elite" is doubtful.

Agreed. I don't see how Reinhart is a huge snub. Maybe in 1 year if he has a good 60 point season, and players like JT Miller still make it ahead of him, then that's probably a snub

Sorry disagree with you . I do see the great possibility of Reinhart being Elite . His growth in just one year along with his incredible hockey sense . I think this kid has a very high ceiling . I view two way players that have great hockey sense as Elite. Players like Toews and Bergeron . Also because of his work ethic.
I never bashed the Philly kid would love to have him on my Team . But Reinhart's stock is just going to keep rising
