Part of the reason i came up with the trade idea is because the isles are more of a future team. Okposo-Ladd? Kyle Okposo was a BIG loss, and Ladd is not the right replacement ... but that's what they did. if Stamkos had become a UFA, maybe the Isles should have tried to sign him ... but even Stamkos wouldn't replace Okposo.

And then they lost Nielsen for nothing too. Isles "will" miss the playoffs next year. when i say "will," i mean almost definitely.

It was just emailed this morning, haven't received a reply back. I'll post it here if he does response. There's a chance he may not even reply since he doesn't know who me or you are. He could also be in deep negotiations with the Islanders GM. We can only speculate and wait.
