I'm surprised more chicken littles aren't fretting about not hearing some stock comment from Gudbranson about being sad to leave Fla but looking forward to playing in a Canadian market. - dbot
I'm actually really surprised there hasn't been wide spread panic. Perhaps it's because they feel EG is a bottom pairing plug that has a bad Corsi? |

haha, this is how my coworker feels. He thinks if Corsi is bad the player is bad. He pretty much feels that someone like Yost should be our GM. |

Tell you're coworker I don't like him and shove Travis Yost up his a$$! .... He'll probably have a Gudbranson jersey by December |

Burrows and brother Subban to Mtl for a 2nd? - dbot
I was looking to trade Pedan because he will require waivers next season and has a similar skill set to Gudbranson, I think we could leverage more out of MTL for Subban or maybe they think one Subban is too much? |

I thought about it, but I don't see the point in spending $200 for a jersey. I have my 94 jersey with no name on the back. |

At this point I do trust the rumours of EDM offering yakupov and their 32OA. Our 33OA was necessary. Personally I don't see McCann being better down the road that Yakupov down the road(if Yak got a fresh start somewhere else). - Retinalz
This move was about cap management for FLA and Yakupov likely wouldn't be more appealing than McCann. He would just be a different re-signing problem for a team that will have trouble holding onto all their good young players over the next couple of years. McCann gives them an asset with some upside that they won't have to invest in for 5 years.
Gudbranson was going to be a problem next year. |

McCann will require a 2-3mil deal in 2 years. That is only if they bridge him. Gudbranson will likely go for around 4.5-5mil unless he has an offensively gifted season with us. I am guessing 3-4 years. |

Fair enough.
I just think we'd have to sweeten the pot to unload Burr and recoup a 2nd.
Although i agree, i'd like to keep Subban and see how he develops next year in the AHL. |

I have been droning on a bit regarding the defense and someone needs to be moved or risk losing one on waivers... maybe nobody will pickup Biega if he is sent down. and wondering if JB will go after another dman that can drive the offense?

I hope we trade Subban and his feelings for a 35 year old enforcer so we can further cleanse this fanbase |

Not attached? People are acting like we bundled Linden, Bure and Stan Smyl into one player with male pattern baldness and traded him away for Keith Ballard |

Fair enough, and yes, speculative bullpoop and nonsense is the currency of this site. and the comment wasn't directed entirely at you, it was also everyone else that states JB overpays, when no one knows any of the dynamics regarding the transactions.
Your posts are solid, no need for stupid yellow things. Maybe it's just me being stupid by trying to be objective regarding transactions I'm not knowledgeable or qualified to critique. - Makita

I've been thinking about the same thing (especially if Hamhuis is retained).
I think Biega will easily be sent down to Utica.
With the amount of injuries we incur on the backend, i'd be ok rolling the dice with Larsen and Pedan in the pressbox (or perhaps using them occasionally as a 4th line winger (Pedan) or PP specialist (Larsen).
If hamhuis is signed it's got to mean Sbisa is moved. |

I would hope Sbisa is moved if Hamhuis is back or a UFA dmen signed or dman acquired via trade. unless it was Edler being moved, but I can't really see that happening.
I can't see us having 3 dmen in the pressbox to start the season either. |

I think that is what we gave up for Pedan.... I'd be curious to see Larssen signed and in the bottom pairing with cap savings vs. keeping Sbisa. |
