You don't have an NHL goalie better than Talbot or a prospect better than Brossoit. |

You see, we have regular Devils fans, Avs fans, Wings fans , even a few Flames fans that post here often that are very welcome, because they are some funny mother(frank)ers.you just don't fit in.
Might I suggest you look for acceptance first on the Islanders threads ( great bunch of guys), then move up to the Sabres threads and if you make it there, see if the Leafs fans will like you. Start small and work your way up. |

Sorry but Demko>Brossoit
What Were talbot numbers last season? I didn't know that they were better then miller's?
Granted I'd probably take talbot over Miller due to age and career trajectory but you can't claim better goaltending without actually having better numbers both career and season wise. |

Barely. Talbot posted .917 with a 2.55. Your boy had .916 and .270.
He had 3 shutouts to Miller's 1 however.
Now answer the important question. Would you bed the cake craver? |

Depends on two factors
1 how late is it?
2 will my friends find out?
Anytime if the answer to 2 is 0
Long after midnight if the answer to 2 is greater then 1 |

There's been far worse teams in one and two year stretches Than the oilers have been at their worst. But I'd be shocked to find a worse 6 year consecutive streak in the leagues history.
Last, last, 2nd last, 7th last, 3rd last, 2nd last - HB77
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest the early Capitals. The Dead Things of the 80's come to mind too. |

I could see them trading #4 down to the mid teens, pick up some additional assets and draft Fabbro. That's what you guys are always looking for right RHD? - smellmyfinger
I could see it but Chiarelli seems pretty clear. He is looking for a defenseman that can play now or is at least a few years into development. I like the Oilers going after Dumba. Min is right against the cap and need to get a center man. Dumba is an RFA and they will have troubles signing him. He is a physical dman with a big offensive game. He has been playing a steadily advancing role on their team since he was drafted but basically has almost 2 NHL seasons under his belt at 20. Plus playoff experience. He is not the whole solution but he is a better gamble than Griffin was last summer and seems the way Chiarelli prefers to go.
If he can't get a dman that can play now he will draft Tkachuck. The Oilers aren't THAT strong on offense that they couldn't use a hard hitting grinder with a huge offensive skill set. He started playing wing this year with the Knights but was moved to Center to replace Dvorak and Marner due to his ability. Clear choice and keeping him means the Oilers don't have to use a protected spot on him during the expansion. Not that the Oilers are in danger of being poached since they only need to protect a few at this point. |

Demko's a better prospect. - golfingsince
Demko is good. Tough to tell at that age but seems like he could start for Van in the future. Tough to compare Boston College stats with AHL. He's a big dude and can use his size to make the net small. I would prefer him over Broissot but time will tell. |
