Maybe a three way deal could get it done. Hard to gauge values, but something sending Nuge to Colorado for Barrie, then Nuge or Duchene being sent to Winnipeg for Trouba. Still big money to give out, but at least Roy would have the type of Dman he really seems to value.

I just don't see Winnipeg wanting Barrie. He's another RHD and probably costs them more than Trouba (there whole reason for moving him). I could very well be wrong.

I think its the opposite, Barrie probably would sign less to be in Winnipeg, being a WHL guys, and Trouba would sign less to be back in the States.

I mean the drop in offense is substantial. Is Trouba good enough defensively to make up for that relative to Barrie? I didn't think Barrie was that poop defensively and I didn't think Trouba was that elite.

At equal contracts (which will not be the case) I think I'd take Barrie over Trouba.
