Michael Grabner is intriguing as a fourth line option. - chilliard77
Why?
He's awful in so many ways. He brings down his teammates and has terrible shot suppression. Which means, he's poop for a defensive forward. |

True but if we could find someone to take on Moulsons contract that might help... Hopefully with McCormick retiring his 1.5 million comes off of our cap this year - bluengold12
Unless there's an injury settlement, he's on the books for day 1 of the season then goes on LTIR. |

Ok, cool. Thanks!
I'm glad the guy gets paid. Definitely a scary medical condition. |

My guess is they just end up paying him rather than an injury settlement. |

Speaking of, I saw someone post (not in Buffalo threads) that Stamkos's new contract can't be insured. I know you've brought up insured contracts before - know anything about this situation? |

He's officially retired isn't he? Why should he remain on the Sabres cap? |

He's said he's not playing but I don't think he's officially retired. I doubt he just walks away from his $1 mil salary.
The way Pegula seems to do things, he's going to make sure Spice gets his pay. |

Right but I'm not sure he officially filed his papers. Saying you're retired and filing the papers are two different things.
He has another year paying him $1 mil on his deal and he gets to have the season count towards his pension as an accrued season.
Now the Sabres organization can offer him a back door deal to officially retire and we'll pay your salary plus give you a position in the organization in some capacity. |

Iverson has digressed had 42 points draft yr. Then 39 and 29
Mantha has 50 points in 117 games since being drafted.
Nejezchleb played for the Wolfpack and ECHL last year? Is already 22 which means he was an overage player his final WHL season.

Stash, I read somewhere that Stamko's bloodclot condition type doesn't fall under the uninsured contract situation.
