The problem with Benning is that he's great at drafting, but awful at trading and negotiating contracts.

Unfortunately we don't get to see how good he is at drafting, because he trades away all the draft picks.

I would think we'll end up signing one of Lucic, Brouwer, Ladd, or Eriksson. With one of these guys, plus re-signing our RFAs, the cap space dries up pretty quickly. Would be nice to have a bit of flexibility throughout the season and not have to rely on LTIR to stay under the cap

They desperately need scoring. I'd like to see Loui or Okoposso. One top 6 forward is sufficient and save any additional cap space for the deadline. I think we would have a shot at the playoffs with one high level UFA

Our nations love for Crosby is pathetic. He's been invisible for 2 months and now wins a face off (that he cheated on) and is conn smythe favourite.


Just like the olympics. Didn't do (frank) all for the entire tournament and then scores a fluke goal that the American sieve goalie should have stopped, and now he's a national hero. We did the same with Paul Henderson. Guy didn't do anything his entire career, but scores a rebound goal and now is a national icon.

Yeah...almost 1000 pts in less than 10 seasons in this era...pretty much a bust.

The last four games, including the two of the sc finals, Crosby has probably been the best player on the ice (no disrespect to Nick Bonino and Martin jones)

Cros scored three game winners in the previous series and has been an intangible presence vs SJ so far. Guy is unreal good probably still the best overall player in Hockey.

Hard to say now, but I don't consider him top 10. Even if he wins a cup this year.
