They can terminate if the contract is breached...whether the NHL or NHLPA fights that termination (Mike Richards) is another problem
- YuenglingJagr

Yeah, and refusing assignment is a lot more clear cut than trying to prove what Richie did was a breach of some morality clause.

You're too young to appreciate both.

Led Zepplin has like 12 good songs and a lot of filler.

They're not as overrated as the Grateful Dead, though.

What is your opinion on Mel Brooks?

I grew up on classic rock. My dad is a huge Dead Head, and was an early tape trader of Richard Latvla (of Richard's Picks fame). He's one of those guys who will not listen to studio GD and loves 71-76 era GD, which is fine, he really loves it and I'm happy for him. But to me, they're a good blue grass/rock band and nothing more.

I found Blazing Saddles and Robin Hood hilarious. Not so much Space Balls and History of the World. I've never seen Young Frankenstein all the way through.

He's funnier than Lisa Lamponelli.

"Look at me, I'm a fat middle-aged white woman who wants to talk about having sex with black guys...WHOA I'M WILD!!!" Still better than Dane Cook, though.

I agree with Spaceballs, only so so. But History of the World was epic and Young Frankenstein was very funny. Blazing Saddles is my all time fav comedy.

I loved all of his movies when I was much younger. I'm afraid to watch them now for fear they won't hold up.

I have watched the Producers and it maintains well.

I miss the Spectrum, but I absolutely hated the bathrooms. Being a kid and having to piss in a trough around drunk adults was horrifying. I refused to go after Flyers/Sixers games and would infuriate my dad once we got on 95 to head home because I to piss.

"Daaaaad "

"Shut up and hold it. Told you to go at the game "

- Pelle31Forever

I loved the Spectrum as a 10, 11 year old kid in the early '80's. It was still a pretty nice building and it was special to go to ANYTHING at the Spectrum. Or....as some people pronounced it: The SPECTROOM.

By the time I was in college in the late '80's, early '90's, it was becoming kind of a pit. Once you were in your seat, you were fine, though. Sight lines were great for games and concerts.

But God forbid you ever had to get on the concourse to go anywhere, however. Especially not between periods of hockey.

NTC and NMCs do not protect against buyouts in any case, and Umberger was probably going to get bought out this summer regardless of the expansion draft.

A mutual termination would make no sense from Umberger's standpoint. The Flyers would, no doubt, love it.

He will be bought out.

He should do us & the league a favor & retire

I miss the Spectrum. Between season tix to the Flyers and more concerts than I can remember, I feel like I grew up in that building. You felt like you were right on top of the ice and when the Flyers scored, you could feel the old girl shake. Some of my fave Spectrum moments were:

Watching the Flyers manhandle the Soviets in 76
Seeing Rush for the 1st time in 1980
Seeing a little known band called Guns n Roses open up for and blow away Aerosmith in 87
Game 6 vs Edmonton in 87
Seeing Ron Hextall score a goal
Watching the debut of Eric Lindros in 92
Seeing the Phantoms win the Calder Cup in 2005

Rest in peace, old friend. I miss you.

Corey Pronman tweeted that the yotes won't be signing Conner Bleackley to an ELC. Would you guys take a flyer on him? No pun intended lol

He didn't say it he got it from here (which was said 7 hours ago)

Mike Morreale ‏@mikemorrealeNHL
Chayka told me that ARZ won't sign Bleackley to an ELC. Red Deer frwrd can reenter draft. ARZ gets 2nd Rd pick -

Not sure if he can avoid going back into the draft but if not I'd consider signing him.

St. Peter should ask one question at the Pearly Gates: "Do you like the works of Mel Brooks?"

No one who answers "No" deserves admittance to Heaven. They deserve to spend eternity in Hell rewatching the collected works of Tyler Perry while sharing a movie theater hot dog with Eichmann.
