He didn't say it he got it from here (which was said 7 hours ago)
Mike Morreale @mikemorrealeNHL
Chayka told me that ARZ won't sign Bleackley to an ELC. Red Deer frwrd can reenter draft. ARZ gets 2nd Rd pick -

Not sure if he can avoid going back into the draft but if not I'd consider signing him. - ob18
Oh he retweeted it. My bad. But yeah I would look at signing him as well if he doesn't re-enter the draft. He's only 20 years old and former first round pick so he would be worth a look for sure |

St. Peter should ask one question at the Pearly Gates: "Do you like the works of Mel Brooks?"
No one who answers "No" deserves admittance to Heaven. They deserve to spend eternity in Hell rewatching the collected works of Tyler Perry while sharing a movie theater hot dog with Eichmann. - Mononoke

Don't see a lot of growth to his game -- that's pretty concerning.
A 20-yo w/ that skillset should be killing it in junior... kid is spinning his wheels. |

Didn't find his Memorial Cup particularly good. He was also coming off a bad tendon injury though. But his stats the last 2 years aren't impressive either. I will pass. If he wasn't a former first, there would probably be a lot less interest. Rather take a chance on a 19-20 year old kid who has shown growth. It worked selecting a 19 year old Goulbourne! |

That's also the concern I have with him. But he has been injured the past two seasons so maybe that could be a reason for his lack of growth |

Regarding the possible expansion; who actually wants it?
The owners are making money (as much as they can without a big TV contract), and adding a franchise in Vegas won't make that much of a difference to their bottom line.
The GM's can't want to go through this mess of an expansion draft...
I can only guess the players association would like it for the additional opportunities to play, but they aren't the driving force behind it...
Is all this just for Bettman's enormous ego???
I could see moving some struggling franchises back to Canada, like Phoenix to Quebec or Hamilton, but what do the owners perceive as benefits to another expansion????? - WhirlingDervish
Sure it will, expansion fees are like 500M for the team, that is not part of HRR, which means it doesn't have to be shared with the players. Money straight into the owners pockets. Each team pockets 16M!
More team, means more potential HRR, which might mean a higher salary cap. 100% in favor of expansion. |

is that for the owners (which i definitely agree) or your own personal opinion? |

Same.
I don't believe it'll water down the talent at all, and that's the gripe most people have. There's enough talented players overseas, in minor-pro, and stuck in teams' systems to fill the 20-30 spots created by LV and not see a drop in play.
My only reservation is the long-term viability of the LV market... but whatever... it's not like the team can't eventually move to a better place down the road. |

Polak looked so bad on the Kessel goal. It might be because he is, in fact, bad. I am not sure and will explore further. |
