Okay then get those guys in later rounds. We need an impact winger or defenseman in our prospects. - bluengold12
Honestly I think they should be Drafting a center or wing at the pick
You can get day in the 2nd etc |

I actually don't mind our center depth in prospects.
I like Cornel and Estephan a lot and we have three younger all star centers on team all ready. Center is the least position we need to worry about |

Estephan and Cornel are better prospects at center.
You want a top left winger? Okay try and get Nylander
I think our needs for top prospects are LW, LD, G, RW, RD, C in that order |

our center position is terrifying bad none of those players have potential of first or second line imo
Center is the most important position to have prospects in |

I can't argue with you anymore. I'm going to bed. We have three centers that will be here for the next ten years. We need wingers and defenseman that are blue chippers to go with are all ready established centers |

Yet the two teams that are in the Stanley Cup finals have no problem putting 3 centers on one line even the top two centers in the game .
Yet you don't think the Sabres will put O'Reilly, jack , Sam on one line like sharks , pens do and then they have other centers to replace those centers just saying it's a good idea to have it seems to be working for them |

Rochester definitely needs some help, but my first concern is addressing the Sabres immediate needs. The sabres have a great 1-2 punch in Jack and ROR. We have girgensons, reinhart and larsson to fill out the other 2 spots and we would probably just bring up someone to fill in a bottom 6 center role if injury occurred. |

They also have guys named brent burns, chris letang and phil kessel.
Guess what position those guys dont play?
You need to build a team dude.
If any position is scary pathetic in this organization, its LW. |

projected to play lw or center
big bruiser with decent speed for his size
2 way player with great shot and finishes the play - homiedclown
That's really the Sabres biggest need. We need another, I'd say Vanek, but given the unmerited for hate for him here, I'll say Andreychuk. A guy that just stands in front of the net and gets the poop kicked out of him and puts the puck in the net. |

The Sabres only have one RW currently on the roster. Brian Gionta. Nuff said. |

The Vanek hate is based on the reality that he was the biggest loafer ever. Imagine what he might have done with his talent.
And besides that, a welch (to the tune of some very big numbers).
And worse, he blows an international competition w a hangover.
Maybe a better word than "hate" is "disdain"

Can't believe Clayton Keller isn't brought up on this board. I know he's 5'9.5" and 169 but watch video. He never gets hit and dominates every game he's in. For those who want chychrun (spelling) watch the USA CAD u18 game. Keller controlled the game and chychrun was not good, I know it's only one game. Trade #8 + Girgs + Pysyk for #10 and Barrie, Keller at #10, trade Bogo for Eberle, sign Stamkos, Vesey, Johnson and a UFA LHD. With this, my friends, I believe we're a Stanley Cup contender, on paper. |

Here's projected salaries for next year. It doesn't include any RFA or UFA future signings and also accounts for a few obvious players not or likely making rosters next year..

Can you post something like this again with some numbers at the end showing how many of each position are under contract? maybe 3 sets of numbers in parenthesis showing forwards, d-men and goalies?

if the first 7 picks go like I see it
sabres will have to pick from
Chychrun
Sergachyov
Brown
Jost
Bean
who do you want Murray to draft? - homiedclown
Juolevi or Chychrun. Sergachyov might be a better offensive talent than the other two, but I just don't trust russians. |

Left wing needs to be addressed.. badly.. center? Not so much. I think we're pretty good on center for the next 10 years. Not that I'd wait that long to draft another one. Our priority needs to be an elite winger, draft trade FA. |

Vanek certainly had his good years here. But he was like the rest of that.. err.. core.. that were soft as mud. He was a face of this team, and he represented basically what Buffalo fans hate. Soft, slow, lazy and very skilled. |

I thought this was America. Getting drunk and punching cabbies is an expression of our exceptionalism, and O'Reilly was merely trying to push the Timmy Ho's closer to America to liberate it from socialism - jcragcrumple

Safe to say that Reinhart is a RW unless they plan on him being the 3C this year. Fasching and Bailey are youth options that can fit on the RW either this year or most likely the year after |

I think he meant currently on roster as technically "RW"
Yeah Reinhart is locked into a top 6 RW spot for the foreseeable future. Bailey and Fasching will be joining the team in the next year or two. Bailey probably projects as a 2RW and Fasching as a 3. I don't think we'll have a problem filling that position. |
