Good point, not completely apples to apples though.

If I'm weighing 3 things, find them all fairly equal - certain different benefits at each option (not going blind into 3 interviews) - then it would tip favor a bit if pursued by one option and nothing from others.

Let's be serious, it's not like there's a lot of mystery that talking to these different teams will clear up - his contract is guided by ELC mandates, so he's not going to get much additional knowledge in speaking with teams, just be exposed to the kissing ass by all rather than one that may want to step forward a bit more.

BTW, my assumption at compensation was wrong anyways. Vesey was a 3rd round pick to begin with, so obviously compensation wouldn't be a 2nd rounder. On top of that, it appears there is ZERO compensation due to Nashville for him walking.

I get it. I just felt it was the simplest way for me to make my point. People have mentioned trading for the rights of "other players" and I have to say that an agent wouldnt be doing his job if he told any player to take the first offer because they traded a pick just to talk to him. many people have mentioned that talking to a player first carries some kinda weight and i just dont see ignoring other opportunities beneficial at all.

I would never go to pizza hut, but it's tough to find good pizza out here….just good, normal pizza. it's either wood fired oven, gluten free crust and artisnal cheese for 30 bucks/pie, garbage chain resturants or someone kinda trying to mimic NY Style.

So I have our cap for next year not including signing any RFA's and not including Rodriguez, C O'Riley(Rochester bound) or McCormick's (LTR/Retirement) salary's.

Good post as usual Michael. With the 3 aforementioned prospects, it sure would be nice to let them develop properly vs rushing them. It really is too bad that Guhle can't play for the Amerks this upcoming year.

Regarding the loss of Myers and the big Z as part of the trades, I have moved on from this as well. I am actually glad Myers is gone and I am perhaps one of the few on this board that's good with Kane/Bogo in return. And while I miss the big Z and his potential, how can't you like what we got back in return in O'Reilly?

Hopefully GMTM can fleece a team in cap trouble and get that #2 LHD without giving up the farm - or one of our top 3 defensive prospects.

i lived in florida in the late 90s. my choices were papa johns or dominos. papa johns was definitely better, but i wouldnt call either pizza

Foligno at least showed glimpses. I'd give him a 2.7 per a year contract for two years to see what he's made of

Girgensons should get nothing more tahn 2 years 4 million. Take it or leave it.
