if Girgensons can't play within Bylsma's system….. - sbroads24
Whats exactly the story on this meme?
I remember Bylsma praising him for playing anywhere on any line and I remember Girgensons saying he's willing to play anywhere the coach will put him.
Was there an interview or a tweet or something that can clarify? |

It's the rumor. No clue if it's true. He had a bad year under Bylsma.
I'm not ready to throw him away, but if it's not gonna work and he's wanting too much money, then try to move him. Don't pay him too much and have it become a bad contract |

That's how I deal with wings down here - buy wings from walmart, fry at home and use Frank's. Pretty simple concept that, while there may be better options (cuz someone always chimes in about their favorite places), you can't go too wrong basing your sauce off of Frank's - stashu
Mix Franks with sriracha, minced garlic, butter, and ketchup. You'll thank me. |

OK…..i thought may be he or Bylsma said something publicly.
It seemed to me like the management actually appreciated the fact that he would play anywhere with no complaints.
I think that may have contributed to his poor stats. No chemistry. |

I wish i could get a direct flight from Nashville to Buffalo some day... WTF South West!? - jochfr
Probably won't ever happen with Delta .. We fly a hub and spoke route system and BNA is way too close to ATL to have a nonstop BNA - BUF |

Frank's butter splash of white vinegar and a dash of celery seed or celery salt is how they made the sauce at the Hitching Post restaurant back in the 80's... It was excellent |

What do you think Murray would do if a team like Edmonton offer sheeted Risto for 6 years 7.5 million per or 45 million dollars.
Does he match the deal? Or does he take the 1sts and other draft picks and go trade for a guy like Shattenkirk |

Two firsts, a second and a third. Presumably, with all the talent they have now on the front end, and Nurse and Risto coming of age, their record improves considerably, and they become kinda crappy picks.
With the development already invested in Risto, I think you have to match.
Does anyone know, would the two firsts be one in each of the next two drafts? Or does a team have to have two firsts in the next draft to tender that kind of offer sheet? |

Next 2 drafts. Team must use their own 1st round picks. They get 1 per season. |

So if the team has traded away either of their firsts for 17 or 18 they can't make the offer. |

Don't think any team makes that investment in Risto yet. If it happened, I think you unfortunately have to match |

Not beating a dead horse, but according to this, he retired April 11 - bobmack13
Reading the actual article that's referenced. Nowhere in any of the quotes does it say he's retired.
http://www.buffalohockeyb...cody-mccormick-to-retire/
This specifically:
Murray said the Sabres could place McCormick on long-term injured reserve or reach a financial settlement.
“We haven’t gone down that road yet,” he said. “I guess depending on what we do or (are) able to do with free agency might determine that. Right now, there’s no reason to question it because we’re not at that point.”
The author really ought to read the quotes before posting a click-baity headline and first sentence. |

Say it ain't so!! Some players are just smarter/have better PR than others when it comes to their vices and getting caught. |

I am done commenting on what I hear
when I get laughed at when 2 sources throw stupid high numbers players want, and get laughed at, I have no time for my character to be questioned
common sense an agent is going to ask for much more than what they will settle for in opening numbers
and one agent mentioned "he played in an NHL all star game" - homiedclown
I'm not sure people were laughing at you. More laughing at the fact that Girgensons thinks that even starting at $4M per year isn't going to get him laughed out of the room. I get that it's a negotiation and I love negotiating, but I'm not going to list my 2004 GMC Sierra with 300,000 miles on Craigslist for $20,000. Nobody's going to take that seriously. You still have to be in the ballpark to be taken seriously.
Again I'm not saying anything against you. Just that the guy's got the guts to think he's worth anything close to that price. He did play in an NHL all-star game and like it or not, that will bump up the price a bit, probably $200K-$250K per season. |

So I have our cap for next year not including signing any RFA's and not including Rodriguez, C O'Riley(Rochester bound) or McCormick's (LTR/Retirement) salary's.
45,628,689
If cap it goes to 73,000,000 that should leave us with around 27,371,311 to spend.
Let's say Riso get's an avg of 5.5
McCabe 2.0
That brings us to 53,128,689 and still gives us 19,871,311 to spend in free agency
Not including Deslauries, Girgensons or Foligno in terms of RFA signings because I expect maybe 1/3 or 2/3 at most to be on roster next year - bluengold12
It won't. It'll either be the same as this year at $71.4M or go up to $74M with the escalator. There won't be any in between. Unless they adjust the numbers again. Which is possible. But it'll either be flat or have the escalator. |

Okay so then $74million. Daily said there would be a slight increase which you'd have to believe is $74 million
I'm working on every single teams cap space right now going into this off season. I'll post it in a half hour or so |
