Fans in SJ were awesome in my experience, really nice and just wanted to talk hockey even though my wife and I were wearing Nucks jersey's.

LA I found the people were bumholes, at the game and everywhere.

Anh felt like a tourist attraction but the people were nice enough.

- belcherbd

Good to know, can't picture ever going to an L.A. or Anaheim game but it's nice to hear the SJ fans are well behaved. Makes me think they really deserve the good hockey they've gotten this year.

Do you not think Subban and Larsen are competing for the same role? What if Subban has a significantly better camp than Larsen?
- NorthNuck

It would be a shocker. Benning has said multiple times that Subban has a lot to work on. As far as Larsen , Benning has scouted him and impressed enough to trade for him. How do you think that is going to work out?

Might as well slot Larsen in now then?

I actually think it is closer to 95% chance that the Canucks start the season with both Rodin and Larsen on the roster.

Subban has a bit of a chance as Hutton did last year but pretty slim.

- belcherbd

I was being conservative...but yes, the percentages are probably higher. Although, Larsen is not a sure thing. Still isn't signed and it's possible The EG signing impacts things...ie. Benning needs to trade Pedan or Sbisa.

In regards to your post below on negativity towards Subban: I don't think people are negative they are just being realistic. If it wasn't for the kids name he wouldn't be on everyone's radar. stetcher is probably closer to being ready in a similar role. Subban is great offensively but far to weak for the NHL at this stage

In fairness I was just playing devil's advocate, I already had Larsen as 6D and Subban in the minors

Didnt it take a full year for Vey to go to the minors after being acquired via trade?

I went to Disneyland in April a few years back with the family and saw the last game of the season between the Ducks and Sharks. Purchased the tickets online before we left from the Ducks' website, $85 each, included a hotdog and pop, lower bowl, 2 rows above the zamboni.

Perry scored his 50th, Ducks won, a near sell out and a party atmosphere with many Sharks fans in attendance.

If I ever go back to Disneyland, I'd like to attend another game at the Honda center.

The plan is to shelf the rebuild and go for the playoffs. And guess what...if we make it in somehow next year and get to the second round you can expect WD to be re-upped for another 3 years. Like it or not Dragon...you'll be stuck with WD another 4 seasons...

- LordHumungous

given the fact theyre allowing green to be interviewed you may be right. I sure hope not.

btw Did you get affected by the fire?

Eh, San Jose has players I'm interested in though. Anaheim has a whole lot of douchey and boring.

Green has had both positive and negative comments about Subban. I don't understand where all the negativity of Subban comes?

He is a prospect who has continued to improved.

Here is Green on Subban Feb 2016.

- belcherbd

interesting.....I didnt catch that report. Or perhaps forgotten....
Its good to know he was the most improved player on the team. Awesome.

I dont really think he's much in JBs plan however and maybe be included in trade in some capacity.

time will tell on it all and it'd be nice to either have him pan out or get a return for him

A lot of Oilers fans were upset when he left and his game has apparently grown a lot as well. Oilers tried to bring him back and he said he wouldn't play in Edmonton. I think he could surprise. And not in a Vey sort of way

Tis good. Summers finally starting, had our first couple days of +20 this week. It's funny so many people have connections to the airline industry here. I know a guy who started flying prop planes here and now he lives in Dubai flying A380s.

I attended before Kesler got there, Selanne was still playing... I don't get to many Canucks games here, it fit into the vacation... I had a good time. It was my son's first NHL game and he had an awesome time.

looking back, they had a little booth on the concourse selling used players gear- sweaters, gloves, etc.. and being so cheap, noticed gloves that were cheap, they turned out to be Sbisa's, I commented that I wasn't familiar with him and the lady at the counter was all taken aback like he was a big fan favourite.

if I wanted to be a hater, I guess I could say they were in, 'like new' condition, never dropped.

but yeah, family had a good time, I'd go again.

I think his name if anything hurts his rep.

Anthony Deangelo for example is seen as a much better prospect despite having the same concerns about his defensive play and has some red flags about his personality.

I doubt you would hear the same vitriol about Deangelo in the Lighting forum.

Don't get me wrong, Subban still needs work but he certainly isn't the disappointing player described often in here.

He has continuously improved every year and probably has had the most impressive AHL rookies season a Canuck has had in ages.

Was Sbisa actually popular there? Maybe they'll take him back if we throw in Columbus' second.

Yep, many of us started in the north somewhere. I had a great 18 months in Yellowknife , lots of "trips" to the Gallery, Explorer , the Strange Range which was in the YZF Inn I believe. They were very wild times!

who is saying he is disappointing? Are you the Chairman of The Subbans Feelings Society? He is a small guy and it's going to take time

Apparently he was popular I had never heard of him.

I don't think Anaheim wants him, they have better and younger players needing signing at the same or cheaper salary.

Couldn't tell you, I've only been legal age for 2 years and I'm only home in the summer, been going to uni in Victoria.
