Cheap would be great, but i'd think the only way we could get him cheap and short term is if waits to sign and clubs end up spending and he is left without a chair when the music stops... and even then, I'd expect a club with better playoff chances to have a better chance of signing him if he were to take a pay cut.

I look at Burrows and wonder if a team like the Yotes would be interested in him with the salary savings vs cap hit and the Canucks ate a little salary?

I wonder if Stamkos will pull a Hossa and sign a 1 or 2 year contract with a contender if he can't find a longer term fit?

I wonder the same. Some teams need cap and you'd think having Burrows for $1.5m on the 3rd line would be a big help. Keeping half would save us the hit in 2 seasons time, so it would be a win all around.

TSN has become mostly a joke. 5 channels and they still black out Jets leafs and Sens games Not that anyone gives a sh!t about the leafs.

And when a main event is on it's on all 5 of their channels

They have really slid downhill since they lost the NHL rights to SN basically following the CBC path into oblivion. I am very much hoping CBC is punted altogether when their contract with SN is done in 3 seasons and TSN can just wither away.

I do like Strombo though...miles better than that bias jackass Maclean.

Given the cap space that Canucks have over the next few years and term youre thinking for Sven, I would just give him the extra million that it would probably take and sign him instead of getting the second rounder. 1.5 in first year, 2.5 second (AAV $2M) and he probably takes it. I think Sven is still wanting to prove himself for the bigger contract and is a better asset right now than a 2nd round pick

Things became too much --- and this is true --- when the Raptors lost... I think it was Game 5 ... by a blowout.... the entire highlight package was 10 seconds long and shows the Raptors making a basket. I do not think the other team was even shown. They could have been playing the Harlem Globetrotters for all we knew.
