Larson told Edmonton that he wouldn't play there. They wanted him back
- CanuckDon

Whether they wanted him back or not, his value was established as a 5th round pick. And if Sbisa is close in value to Larssen on the depth chart, the simplified version of the trade proposal would look like 4OA for 5OA and a 5th rounder which is why I am saying it wouldnt happen

Edmonton has had pretty horrible PK's the last decade or so.... I think they could see value in a guy like Sbisa

It's a 5th or 4th depending on games played? Anyways, I believe Sbisa has more trad value than a 5th. At least a 3rd, perhaps a late 2nd

I don't doubt they see value in him, but the cost of moving down a spot that early in the draft is likely way too high. If it was say Sbisa+NYI 5th rounder for the lowest of Edmonton's 3rd rounders, that would be a more likely trade scenario than dealing with such valueable pieces as first rounders in my view

I believe he does too, but the suggestion was that he wouldnt make the Canucks top 6 (to which I think he definitely does and will), and if he doesnt then his value plummets because of both his play and contract. All hypothetical talk anyways, I value Sbisa and hope he proves JB right. He was turning a corner last year before injuries

Ya I agree, that's probably the best the Canucks could hope for. Would be interesting to see who they would try to sign to replace Sbisa.... go for the cheap veteran in hamhuis..... or go big and try to get more offense from the backend by going after a guy like yandle or schultz

Without hurting the future of the organization I meant. There's isn't a plethora of young talent within the franchise.

High ceiling talent potential...

Wing - Boeser & Virtanen
Center - none
Defence - none (Tryamkin maybe)
Goaltending - Demko

Are you guys hoping the Pens sweep so we can get on with the silly season? This eating around sucks
- LeftCoaster

Would love to see the Pens sweep now after the crybaby Couture whining about Crosby cheating in the face offs. ALL NHL centremen cheat to win draws...Just because Couture can't beat Crosby in faceoffs he has to whine to the refs about it?

Classless.

It's not like it doesn't happen every year, someone's always complaining, which is in fact trying to gain an edge.

Would you consider Henrik high talent?? Because Bo reached 40 points in his 2nd year and it took Henrik 4 seasons I believe.. I'll never understand why people on here think Bos ceiling is the 2nd line. Yeah he's a 2 way center but the kid has everything to be elite level, he's bloody 21

I don't see the young guys (Horvat, Virtanen, Etem, Baertschi) making huge strides either, I do see them getting better, as in putting up somewhat better numbers.

My predictions...

Horvat - 18 goals 45 points
Virtanen - 14 goals 23 points
Etem - 11 goals 20 points
Baertschi - 19 goals 33 points

- LeftCoaster

So you see Baertschi stagnating/regressing? He had 28 points in 69 games, plus he was terrible at the start of the year. I would expect him to put up as high as 40

I think you took that out of context, #1 I know Horvat is 21 but he's a franchise cornerstone in that he's not going to get dealt, so he's not even in the conversation. Understand?

#2 I said YOUNG talent, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't consider Hank young AND they're not gonna trade him, so again, he's not in the conversation regarding trading.

I don't see him making huge strides in the point department if that's what you're asking, I do see more goals though. For a small guy I do expect more missed games due to injury as well.

The whole thing was a joke, of course you can still buy them on other sites like Stubhub starting at around $500usd. I went on to the Save On Foods Centre website here in Victoria and they start at $572cad. They are all snapped up by these sites and then the prices are jacked up by 500 percent.

You know it's scalpers (corporations now for legitimacy and to hide from the law) using hack tools to auto buy tickets at light speed the instant they go live right?

Fan exchange gets their tickets from people after they purchased them from ticketmaster.

When I buy Canucks tickets I don't even bother with Ticketmaster I go to fanexchange and its usually season ticket holders that know they can't make the game so they sell them to Fanexchange and pay just a little more than what they purchased them for or less just to get them sold. I bought tickets for boxing day 11 row on the blue line 110$ a piece.

I know what it is. Just disappointing that the hip wouldn't control this better. Pearl jam boycotted ticketmaster years ago, I wish more would do the same.

You wanna know the funny thing? Couture has won 4 of 7 faceoffs against Crosby in the two games so far. Not one guy in this forum believes that that comment isn't to deflect from the fact that the Sharks were heavily outplayed and outchanced. They lost 2 one goal games but those were not one goal games.
