I just seen on Twitter Esplen said Canucks will sign LUcic 6 years 7 mil per. What a troll - VANTEL

I had a Caliburger the other night. Great burger. New restaurant just opened up on Robson and thurlow. In n out style burger joint but better in my opinion. - Scooby_Doo
I heard Caliburger was the IN n out? Canadian version? |

I still think we need a Letang, Burns, Keith, Karlssen the though. Could Chychrun be that guy in 5 years? - thundachunk
I was coming at it from this angle. If you draft Chychrun you have a young reliable back end that should be safe for the next 5-7 years. In 3 years move out Edler and replace. The cap hit would be very reasonable and let's you put future efforts into fixing the forwards for the next few years. |

No, it was fun because you had one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the league for a 3 year stretch. Thank God it didn't go to any of your heads and you all remained welcoming and reasonable posters. |

Fix the D with a cheap draft pick. Bring back Bart for one year as Chychrun develops and then the D is fixed at a very reasonable cap hit. Then all efforts can go to the forwards |

Spitballing .
Would Detroit trade Datsyuk and their 1 st round pick for the cap space. This would be good for a team that is building for the future.
If Wings are going all out for Stamkos they need to clear cap space. |

I don't think SJ has been as badly outplayed as the Eastern media seems to think. Come to think of it, there seems to be a bit of an eastern biased in this series; PIT seems to be getting officiating in their favour.
Maybe the NHL is a lil butt hurt about the west dominating the SCF for the last 4 years... If only it were 5 - PetrolSexual
There were times in the first two games where it seemed they should have tossed SJ their own puck to play with as PIT was dominating possession. But yes they weren't outplayed as bad as the media said but it was bad at times.
And SJ should be pretty thankful last night they could easily be down 3-0. Lucky goal by Ward to tie of Murrays pad and in but basically happened on a bad Letang pinch (while shorthanded) and a lazy play by Crosby on the potential change. Made Letang and Crosby look bad but really that shot should not go in from the blue line. Might have a series if SJ wins game 4. |

How would this back end look?
Edler Tanev
Chychrun Gudbrandson
Hutton Tryamkin
Markstrom
Demko.
I think it could carry you for five years - VANTEL
If that was the case then we could trade down to 7th for Arizona and get chychrun and german rubtsov or tutfe or max jones also at 20. |

It appears they might given all of the crap surrounding Datsyuk wanting to head to the KHL potentially. |

I'm ok with Bart back for one year. Good 6-7 guy and probably a stud in the press box. |

Let's look at it from this angle. You have a good stock of D....
Ryan Johansen for Seth Jones.
Gudbranson, 5th for McCann, 2nd, 4th.
See what i'm saying!
or you see what it will take to get the 4th from edmonton and draft your future 2/3 of your (hopefully) future top line. |

Would have to add something to it. probably a salary player because they will need to get to the cap minimum. |

5th + 63rd for 7th + 20th. Likely ensures they get Tkachuk if he makes it to 5th? If he doesn't they dont do it obv. |

I would be ok with buying that pick. We can bid in Free Agency but we don't need to. I would rather the draft pick. |

Would any of you be pi$$ed if JB took a defence-man instead of Dubois or Tkachuck? |

My personal opinion on that one is Nashville was in win now mode. Jones was expendable and Torts had a hate on Johansen. Nashville clearly won that trade imo. RJ is a #1 center they are just as hard to come by as solid defence. Not that Jones isn't going to have a long bright future ahead but Rj is only 2 years older and miles ahead at this point. |
