How come no one here is talking about Nylander. Are we done with Swedes?

I could see us drafting Nylander and flipping him to Toronto for Morgan Rielly.

- Scooby_Doo

Internal compete level, when things get tough he filters out to the edges. We don't need or want that.

Basically exactly what Babcock said of his brother, something along the lines of, "if he's not willing to compete, it doesn't matter how talented he is."

That internal drive we were just discussing.

Yes Swedes were 2008 - 2012. It's all about the Finns now

Veys dad is found guilty.
I wonder if that means linden will have a sense of relief and start playing like the number one Center we all expected.

- Scooby_Doo

No....another wasted second round pick. But I liked it at the time, I think?

Vey has a higher upside than Bonino. A clear mind and the sky is the limit.

Yeah but he's still from Saskatchewan.

when was he ever projected as a #1 center?
Not big enough to ever be considered in that category either.

Great insight.

Tough to make the genetic connection obviously but coming from 'good stock' is a factor. You can bet on it.

We need Benning to make a trade this week or sign and overpay a RFA so we can have something to talk about.

I seen social media trade names being tossed out like Nash Malkin, the entire Sens teams, Barrie and RFAs it is going to be afun Summer.

As far as our RFAs I would like Etem 2 years 1 mil, Pedan one year 775k , Vey one year 1 mil , Zalewski 2 way deal , Sven leave open to offer sheet.

I've heard he wants a longer term deal where he gets paid. Guy seems to think he has earned something.

Here is a trade I would consider. Burrows ( or Higgins if needed) for Hartnell and Rychel.

Before you shake your head , it is reported Lucic wants 6 x6 , that is horrible. Similar type players like Brouwer or Ladd are going to be hunting in the 6 mil range also.
Hartnell has 3 years left at 4.75 and brings the same type of game. He still scores over 20 goals a year and brings sandpaper. Yes he is 34. On top of that Kirby Rychel is a young player much like Sven so it could be considered as a second round pick.

Less Cap , less term , get a young prospect, and move out Burr.
