From one of their posters, they are looking for a 1st round pick and a prospect, although he also mentioned that they don't have a 2nd round pick this year.
The problem with dealing for Vatanen is the Ducks own internal spending limit, which means Buffalo really can't send something else their way unless it is very cheap and cost controlled.
Girgensons is going to cost too much for them to take back, even if he gets $2.5M on his next deal? Difficult to say.
I wonder if they would take, as far as picks go, a 3rd this year and Buffalo's 2nd next year (thinking the Wild 2nd will be a higher pick next year)?
Is Vatanen good enough to send them something like Girgensons, 2016 3rd, 2017 2nd, 2018 1st?
Upgrading the defense with Vatanen and Chychurn is very enticing. - kingcong39
Only way I'd trade for Vatanen is if we traded Bogosian. Need LHD not right. I'd take Vatenen all day over Bogo but you can't have both on the team with their cap hits... You'd have upwards of 15 million on one side and crap on the other..

What are your thoughts on Lee Stempniak? Potentially signing him cheap? Had a big year but who knows whats next... would you gamble and sign? if so what would the deal be? - Swingin_Lumber
I want Stempniak bad. Been vocal for him for awhile. Proven goal scorer, home town guy. Perfect 3rd liner. He'd likely not to be too cheap. I'd bet 3-4 million per |

The Duff's near me isn't the same anymore. The wings are rather dry when they used to be covered in sauce and they seem like they've been sitting for a while, like they cook them half-way and then finish them off when ordered. Been like that the last 3 times I went. No more for me. |

This was his best season in 7 years.
They already have way too much cash spent on the 3rd line with Moulson and Gionta.
He's approaching Mike Sillinger status as he's more than likely going to his 10th team in 12 years.
He is a great deadline deal guy to acquire though. |

Lots of places that serve tons of wings actually do this. Fry time on wings is around 13-15 minutes, so during busy hours its hard to get orders out. They half cook them and let them sit all day and then finish cooking them to order cutting the time in half.
Last time I had Duff's they were charging a dollar a wing, I don't know what they may be charging now, but I do know I won't pay that much for food that's been sitting around all day. |

Moulson's 4th line guy. Gionta should be a 4th line guy. I know this was his best year but maybe we can rekindle that. And I believe he's quick too for his age. 1 year 2 million might work |

Wings are around $2 a pound.
The wings are so big that you're only getting about 240 per case.
When you add in the blue cheese, carrots, celery and the cost of cooking them; you're at about $4.5-5 bucks before they get to the table.
There used to be 12 or so different chicken distributors.
They were all bought up and now there's only 3 main distributors.
The price has just started to come down as it was $2+ a pound since x-mas, with a high of almost $2.40 a pound.
Chicken wings are the highest cost from the chicken.
Thighs as .39 a pound
Breasts 1.89 a pound
Wings 1.95-2.10 a pound |

Oh god no! No way. Aim higher man. We need top line talent. I want a strong, fast top 9. I don't see him being any of which I mentioned. |

He's actually been relatively the same player for a majority of his career. It's just his usage has varied |

And that's what needs to change in order for the Sabres to progress and be a potential playoff team.
Moulson and Gionta should be 4th line players unless, they somehow find the fountain of youth. |

Amazing that the part that used to get thrown away is now the most expensive per pound....and half the weight is bone.
I never understood the allure of Duffs. The only time i ever ate there, it was "chicken wing soup" as someone mentioned earlier.
I pretty much always had good luck getting wings from where ever my local pizzaria was in the ken-ton area.
Gabriels gate was always good.

The lowest I can recall was The Pub on Broadway in Depew about 15 years ago selling them at 15 cents per wing. I really don't remember how much they were when I was a kid back in the 80's. |

He's much better than both. If they moved Ennis in a package for a D man or something and couldn't add a Stamkos or Nash etc, Stempniak would be a decent add IMO. Certainly not my first choice |
