If you were to pull the trigger on one trade this summer, who would you want?
Hampus Lindholm for a combination of loose ends and draft picks
If you were to pull the trigger and sign one UFA this summer, who would you want? - mhp
Mr Stamkos please
I would also go a flyer on Yandle |

Hampus for anything and everything that doesn't include 15,23,55 - Sabresfan-365
I know you want him, but it could be costly. Gotta think Anaheim will do something with their RFA's considering their internal budget. My guess is Fowler is the guy out and Vatanen and Lindholm stay, but who knows.
The cap looks to go up slightly for this year but there are so many teams that might do a re-org with some of their own players, could be a number of trades this summer. |

I would sign Risto to a bridge deal. I would go for the max deal at 5 to 5.5 million
One of Ennis, Girgs, Foligno or Pysyk will probably be dealt this summer. Which one do we move? All 3 of the above
I think Bylsma will hire Todd Reirden and Luke Richardson as his assistants soon. - mhp Interesting choices. Mike Yeo has also been mentioned.

Stamkos to some would be the obvious but I also get the idea that some fans don't want that contract. My view of it is in 4-5 years the cap could be 75-80 and his contract won't be that big noose around the neck.
UFA-Stamkos
Trade- Nash
That would be a juicy top 6 wouldn't it?

Cap increasing very little is not what some teams were expecting . gonna be a lot of players moving and not getting signed till late in the off season. Or not signed at all. |

I could see Yeo as well. I think Reirden worked with Bylsma in Pitt and Luke would be of interest to Murray and company. I'd go with Yeo though. Get someone with some HC experience, never hurts behind the bench. |

If the escalator clause is enacted, it could go to 74. if not, it could be around 71. I think it's gonna be somewhere in between. My guess is around 72.5. |

If they don't use the escalator last report is it could fall a bit. |

It's very likely it could drop if they don't, for sure. I just can't see the NHLPA not exercising the clause. |

Yea well if Shatenkirk and Barrie are also available and it's a buyers market his value could come down. The whole NHL knows his 9.5 million dollar cap hit is hell. Girgensons, Pysyk, Foligno, 8th overall. That better for you ? |

Yeah, and you're not listening. Let me phrase it another way. If the Sabres had Subban, would you take that junk drawer of spare parts no one wants and the 8th for him? |

I remember as a Yut I used to go to Giovanni's Den in Town of Tonawanda, Brighton Rd I think...get this
$5.00 for 12 Wings and Piture of Genny Beer. $5!!!
I used to get 5 or 6 of my friends to go, we would smoke first then go in and chow down..some of us order doubles so we had enough for all.
great times...

When Pitt wins the Cup there should be enough pics/gifs/memes of Kessel hoisting it. People here need to have them handy for the barrage of Leaf fans that will be on this board this year. |

There is a Leaf poster who claims to know NHL players and management people in the league. He has been right on some things before and he has proved that he has a son who is in this years draft (don't remember the name, but was on a "sleeper list" recently). I guess he may have done some work with the Red Wings organization.
Anyways, he claimed today that Stamkos is going to the Leafs for $9.1. |

They won't care. They all hope he wins and still like the trade even though the return was not great. But the trade did get them Matthews. |

From what I've read and seen.
Juolevi - well rounded offensive/defensive D-man
Sergechev - Best offensive D-man but lacks physicality.
Chychrun - Best defensive D-man with a developing offensive game.
I think Juolevi is gone to EDM or VAN honesty. Depends on what ARZ does if they take Nylander or a D to what options we have. - JVince11
I've heard Segechev is physical and plays with a snarl. So I guess it's who you read. |
