Bet your the one that holds up the drive through line for 15min deciding what to order. and everything is special.

I will never go to the drive through with my girl and her daughter. There is a reason it's called FAST FOOD.

Too many kids these days have been given too many options all their life.

500 channels for cable. On demand radio without commercials. pick the tune you want to listen on your headphones without going through the whole album, even the sorta crappy songs.

If it isn't exactly what they want, they don't want it at all.

Life itself really doesn't work that way - there are going to be "less than perfect times" that you not only have to accept, you have to engage with an get through them.

Every single player looks at the contract they want the most money

Lets say you have the same job as the guy next to you and he gets a pay raise you're going to tell me you're not going to use his contract as a starting point for you

This isn't true.

I could have left my company months ago for a job paying almost $20K more a year.

Didn't take it. I love my job, I have flexibility and I don't come home angry.

The grass isn't always greener and usually its more often than not NOT greener

Everyone knows life has poop stains and twist and turns but it happens for a reason and it makes you a stronger person and more independent

That's why it's OK to fail you get the poop knocked out of you but you become stronger at the end

https://www.nhl.com/news/...2-year-extension/c-636359

He went to this franchise when this franchise was literally at the bottom and was part of the buildup of this franchise, so he's emotionally attached to the fans and the city of Pittsburgh," he said. "When you are negotiating a contract of this magnitude as a player, it's important to understand what you want and where you want to be first and foremost -- and Sidney understood that. In a vacuum he was able to realize where he wanted to be and he wanted to be in Pittsburgh, so this contract means a lot to him."

I know Shattenkirk is a RHD, but trade for him, sign, if at all possible, Yandle, and trade away Franson for whatever.

Yandle Ristolainen
McCabe Shattenkirk
Gorges Bogosian

I think that defensive group would get us into the playoffs.

- Mentalorgasm5

don't think Yandle is a top pairing dman, certainly top 4 though. He'll still have a ton of suitors and the chances of coming to BUF are very slim

People get pay raises for doing a good or great job, not because the guy next to them got one.
You just posted a perfect example of your lack of understanding of the real world. And its what most of us older people have to deal with all the time.
"I want what he has because im right next to him"
Not because you actually did anything to deserve it.
Agents aim high and GMs whittle the price down by listing all the things a player could have done better. They dont just hand them the fist figure that pops up.

OK correction there are some players that love staying at their place that will take less money but still get a lot of money .

Isn't that when he got injured though I can't remember so maybe he could've got more if he was not injured

Yes he did. They all do, if you think about it. (Hell, Cal Freaking O'Reilly made $700,000 last year - that's 10 years of income for most families.)

I made that post to respond to your suggestion that "THEY ALL LOOK FOR THE MOST MONEY."

Sidney left money on the table to be where he wanted to be.

I think it's a little different in the NHL.

The Crosby article posted says otherwise.

The grass isn't always greener.

See Brad Richards, Chris Drury, Danny Briere etc etc.

They get paid an insane amount of money as it is.

Many times players leave $ on the table.

Patty Kane and Toews got paid a lot of money (the same exact contract) to stay.

PK could have gotten more from his hometown team though.
