No, it wasn't a bad example. If someone doing your job at least on your level or worse and got a raise, you'd absolutely want a raise. It's just because you said it they hammered you. And one guy is happy where he is and that's great, but he doesn't reflect society as a whole.

Of course a players agent wouldn't be doing his job to keep up with who got what. But at the end of the day if the client wants to stay he needs to work out the best deal to make that happen and not just for the most money.
