PlayerS with an active nmc at the time of the expansion draft have to be protected.
Players with 2 or less years in the a or nhl who have played a minimum of ten games per season arent eligible for the draft.
NTC and nmc that have an outout clause at the time of the draft are eligible for the draft.
Horvat is not eligible.

The only must protect players on our team are the twins.

The twins will count as 2 of our 7 protected players, this leaves 5 more to go.

Burrows makes sence to buy out, Higgins no point just bury him in the AHL to save 950 K or off course try and dump him off to someone but thats unlikely

There is discussion that they don't need to be protected, and that the expansion team can't claim them because of the nmc.
Still lots to iron out, no need to jump to conclusions.
