And this was the expectation of him. Come out and score 30 and 50 points like he should and he won't get criticized for petty things.

30 goals would have helped a bunch in many ways. Most of the players lacked on the team and i'm giving them a pass for last season. Learning curve I guess. New coach, new players, new everything. Next season is put up or get out time.

If he scored30/50, Moulson did anything and Ennis just kept doing what he did prior to this year, we may not have made the playoffs, but we probably would have been middle of the pack in the league. That would have been pretty impressive after the tank.

I don't know why/how people expected him to put up 30 and 50 or 60. He was coming off of major shoulder surgery, hadn't played in 8 months. It takes time to come back from that, usually a year. And he turned his play on quite a bit towards the end of the season.

This was always a lost/seeing what you have and need type season. You finish where you finish and go from there.

We got a great season out of Eichel, a better than expected season out of both Reinhart and ROR. Lehner, when he played, played quite well considering his coming off of injury(I'm putting the O/U of amount of fights he gets into next year at 1.5). Ennis gets an INC. Girgensons was a disappointment. Risto was a revelation. McCabe is coming along nicely, Pysyk is very much in poop or get off the pot time. Johnson was very good considering he's never been a starter. Ugwand was solid, if unspectacular. And the other guys were the other guys; about what we expected out of them. The team as a whole got off to a slow, but completely expected start given the turnover, and turned it on nicely at the end. If they can add a couple pieces and keep it up they're a playoff team next year, no doubt.

Edit: Oh right, Moulson, well nothing more really needs to be said about Moulson.

Any news on Sabres coaches or overall Sabres rumors from media? There was a rundown some isles guy gave and it was a ton of info. Wish we could get something like that.

I'd like the Sabres to hire some assistants with headcoaching experience. Seems like the smart thing to do these days.

Ahhh... Good ole Buffalo. 3rd highest market after Pittsburgh and San Jose.

Edit: Who knew West Palm Beach was a big hockey market?

hot take, Bron Born got sad and cried that Green called him a female dog since hes a father of 3 and that has no place on the court. League panders to him, 1 game suspension and lebron finally is doing something after not being dominated defensively for the 1st time this series.

Isnt it amazing what happens to those SCF finals ratings when you let EVERYONE watch them? Not just people who subscribe to 360+ cable channels?
You listening Bettman?

I don't care what kane does outside of hockey as long as it's not a distraction to the team or if he's not producing

But if he ever hit A girl I would want him off the team the next day

My response to Sabres fans wanting Rick Nash: 32 years old, past his prime, too slow, not worth the money. Target youth and speed instead.

He is one of the fall back plans if Stamkos doesn't work out, along with a few others.

Strange the Ducks bring back an old coach, thought maybe they wanted a new voice.
