Completley agree with Homie. It means nothing. You can't pencil in future success you must achieve it. Not long ago we were talking about how Pittsburgh's GM did a terrible job restocking the barn. And now here we are.
And Homie, you gotta ditch the wings. I'm getting too hungry looking at that. A guy has to maintain his figure ya know.
He is a 24 year old who has only barely been able to crack the lineup on one of the worst teams in the league and who has looked utterly non-descript in every way.
Its time to move on. I'm tired of hearing that he's sneaky good, and the kind of player that you "don't notice."
soggy overcooked egg noodles is an utterly non-descript food that I "don't notice" and nobody is ever convincing me that it's "sneaky good." - Der Kaiser
He made a few more noticeable blunders this year. Playing with Mike Weber doesn't help.
I still like him because I take him for what he is: a #5 defenseman.
Drafted 14th in his draft year, currently the 8th highest point scorer in that group. Not super-impressive considering how many d-men went that draft, but also shows he's not some scrub who was so obviously drafted too high.
But he had a bad season, so he's complete trash. - stashu

Malkin and Fleury will be moved.
Pittsburgh becomes a contender to land Stamkos. - dadeadhead
That would make sense, no doubt. If they move Malkin before the draft, does Pitt become the front runner to land Stamkos and is Pitt willing to offer up a max contract? I would say all signs point to yes imo. Good post.
It's funny. I started to dislike Pysyk when all I heard was how under rated he was and how he was the next Anton Stralman in the making. Then a few months later people want him gone for I'm not sure what reason and now I want to defend him. - sbroads24
In no way would I ever consider him to be a top notch guy, but no team is full of top end d-men, so I just don't get the hate on Pysyk when this team's issues are on the offensive end.
He was drafted 23rd overall in 2010 and only has 125 NHL games under his belt. Only 8 d-men in his draft have played more games, 2 drafted higher than him and 6 drafted lower
Pretty sure (hope) that most of us realize why he didn't play in Buffalo much in 14/15...I'm pretty certain it wasn't a concern with the player.

will slot in nicely anchoring the third-line in a two-way center role - Michael Pachla
But my guess is that he will be in the AHL to start, and who knows Zads could start in the AHL again too just due to the glut of 1 way contracts the Avs already have. EJ, Beauchemin, Stuart, Holden, Gelinas already on the books. If they cant find a way to unload some of that deadweight, they might be forced to push down Zads and Bigras for cap reasons
When the Sabres are ready to start contending, I think Bylsma will be sent packing. After watching years of his mind-boggling decisions and his failure to ever adapt a game plan I simply don't think he's the guy to get you over the top.
Yeah, I know he got us a cup. But he did it using Mike Theriens system. As soon as he instituted his own system, it was disappointment after disappointment.
Maybe he's learned a thing or two....who knows. I'll believe it when I see it.
