dreaming is all good, especially in the lead up to the draft. i'm waiting for the hookers and blow video showing laine and matthews that leads to them dropping!
having said that, if the hurricanes did that deal, i'm thinking that their 2 fans (bingo being one of them) would kneecap ron francis (and deservedly so).
hansen's value will be highest to a cap strapped team that is close to being (or already) is a real contender. the canes wouldn't need or want him. plus, their 1st round pick would be worth a lot more than a depth player and a possible nhler. let's not forget that gaunce wouldn't be on a projected canucks' lineup if the team had any real depth. not saying that he's a total wash out but i don't see him having any real trade value (regardless of where he was drafted.)
