I agree with you I like him as well but he's looking for more then the 5 a year he made, if they make a deal for a D man they want him to be younger if they have to pay him. I don't know why Murray likes Barrie, we don't another RHD. IMO, we should focus on what we need and go from there.

Fowler has gotten 35 points or more twice in his career and not since 2013-2014. It's hysterical how a few months ago I was clamoring for Fowler and no one wanted him for even a 3rd round pick and a player now he's all of the sudden worth 8th overall?! Come on...

I would NEVER trade anything close to the #8 For Fowler. Look at what the NYI traded for Leddy, who's a better than Fowler. I would trade #8 For Shattenkirk, he's all that. 89 - thanks for your insite, but, you're kid of covering all bases here. If we draft Pugula's family friend at #8 I say it's a huge mistake. He'll be a bust unless we can teach him hockey IQ. Maybe it can be taught??

Stamkos is the top target but Malkin has been talked about without a doubt. I'm not saying the Pens are moving him or he wants out, just mentioning what I was told about him a few weeks ago. Hall is going to cost Risto ++ and that's a non starting point.

Goligoski is another player that lives on the HIGH planet like Ladd, Okposo , Yandle and a few others that think they will get 6-7 mill a year.

I'm going to be honest, I don't know if I like the Malkin deal. He's 31 or going to be 31 and he has 7 years at 9.5 mill a year left, don't think that's a good deal for the Sabres to take on with what we are trying to do.

The Ducks are cheap, they have some kind of " team cap " for contracts I was reading sometime ago.
