That is my gut feeling from watching about 5 hours of film on him. he skates well, shoots very well, is big enough (though at 192 pounds should be able to add about 20 pounds) and isn't afraid to hit. What concerns me is he's a turnover machine in his own end. If he's a turnover machine in the ohl where he theoretically has more time to decide, he could be a mess in the NHL. Full disclosure, he was a bit better in his last 20 games than at the beginning the season.

He is from outside toronto, so maybe he's making a "scouting" trip a la a college campus visit to Buffalo. Obviously it would have no visit with gmtm/Pegula included as that's tampering UNLESS TB gave permission. Why would they give permission? Pure Speculation but maybe the Sabres are trying To trade for his rights and Stammer wants to check out the goods before waiving his NTC ??
