2 day work week next week then I drive to Buffalo Wednesday (btw, can you mail me those directions you had sent me before? That old PM has pushed off my list).

In January I'll get an extra week vacation. The sucky part is that I have to then take 2 weeks of the 3 I get at once.

Last 2 weddings I went to were both held down here in the Myrtle Beach area, despite the couples being from 8-10 hours north of here. Guess they like their destination weddings.

40/70 is just a requirement in regards to teams being required to expose a certain number of those guys.

Say you have 10 forwards, but only 4 that meet the 40/70 requirement. If the rule is you must expose 3 of them, then you need to do that and are not able to protect 3 of the 4 of them.

It has nothing to do with exemptions.

Each team MUST expose two forwards and one defenseman that have playes 40 games last season or 70 the last two (which should be the last year and next year). You can expose more players also, but must have the above 2 and 1 at the least.

Players on their entry level deals are exempt automatically (it seems). So that would include Sam and Jack.

One was on the beach itself, it was OK (I find them cliche, but meh...), the other was up at this awesome house in the marshes and between the house and the view, it was pretty awesome.

Sick part was the house costs like 3k/week or more I believe.

So the more I think about that expansion draft and the future of the team, we need to draft a defense man with 8th overall. That or trade Bogo and acquire an older D man. We can only protect 3 and Risto, McCabe, Bogo (required if on team) would be them, trading for another (that would add to that list) is impossible to save them all.

I do think we need to move players as it seems we have too many roster players (forwards).
