A simple FU at the end still works for intent IMO.
kane's got size, speed and plays a north/south game, exactly what the pens did as a team on their way to the cup...ennis is slippery and skilled but his east/west game doesn't do it for me - Michael Pachla
This is a very good point. Many point to how slow the Sabres are and how we need to get faster. In the next breadth, some people on this board want to run Kane out of town because he only scored 20 goals or because he is a d-bag. I like his size, speed, scoring ability, shoot first mentality and the fact he'll drop em' if need be. I also personally don't care about who he is shagging off the ice and how much of his $cash be blows in Vegas casinos. I'll take 3 more Kane's please.
Also, if we trade for Fowler, Lindholm, or grab Yandle (or whomever) out of free agency on defence, don't we end up exposing McCabe to the expansion draft because we can only protect 3 defencemen?

PS - not a single Buffalo waitress has claimed to have been stiffed by EKane.
Pysyk seems to have been forgotten. I think Buffalo will go the 8 1 route and protect Risto, McCabe, Bogosian, Pysyk, OReilly, Kane, Ennis and Girgensons rather than expose a valuable dman to protect replaceable parts.. Noone else that requires protection has a lot of value outside of maybe Larsson. Obviously trades and free agent signings could shake this up a bit.
