Nobody will blast you for this, but people in Pittsburgh might boil you in heating oil along with the GM and everyone else in the front office if they even think about it. Would Pittsburgh really trade Malkin in the division and pass out two draft picks for a draftee that isn't Austin Matthews and western Pennsylvania's all time favorite visiting player?

Exactly. Because they are division rivals, both sides are in a position where they would need to absolutely fleece the other team to pull off a deal, there are no mutually beneficial deals. Thats why it just doesnt happen. |

I don't think Pitt is dumb enough to trade Malkin within the same division. I expect him to go to a Western Conf team.
