Malkin and Stamkos to Chicago (E4) - DeflatedPucks
But wait, there's more! Chicago also to get Lundqvist, Gostisbehere and Ovechkin. Also, in what appears to be an attempt to meat the little known "Super Duper salary cap floor," the Blackhawks will receive the rights to Pronger.
Chicago has $61m still on the cap for only 14 players. They still can't sign a full roster unless they move another salary. If this deal sets the floor value on the cost of moving a bad salary, it just got expensive.
What's assests do the hawks have to trade for Malkin? I can't see them moving Kane toews hossa kieth Seabrook... Perhaps they move Crawford as well - jt6766
No way the pens would take Hossa or Seabrook as a key piece to a Malkin trade.

Malkin is not being the traded. There is no reason to. And why would Cchicago take on a third 10 million dollar contract? The Hawks got hosed here TT is going to be a star and they used him as a cap dump? Stupid. - Dcoms

That's what I thought too looks like the wings might be eating datsyuks cap hit next season
I don't mind this deal at all....it had to include a sweetener and if it was to be anyone young TT makes sense...For anyone that watched most Hawks games this past season should be ok with this...getting sick of the 'he's gonna be a star'...he regressed.
As for Malkin....no way...they are clearing space to keep their guys....now if a seasoned veteran comes along and wants to take a discount to have a great chance at a cup, fine, but adding a 10mil contract makes no sense.
Malkin is going to Winnipeg.....gets to be "The Man", gets to play with the kid, Wheeler, who plays his type of game, on his wing. Buff on the PP and protecting him
