Despite the fact that Malkin can barely speak English after all this time, says he loves Pittsburgh and doesnt want to be "the guy" somewhere and would prefer to be left alone, I guess EK and his sources alone know the real story.

That or its all made up bullpoop. Not implying anything, just offering opposing views....

Facts are irrelevant. The cap is irrelevant. There is still a chance.

Also, Chicago is about to adopt Russian as its official language so he should feel at home. The other official languages are spanish and eventually arabic (voting bloc size matters you know).

Now, to important poop. Who gets credit for the EK typo rumor?

THANK YOU. Anyone who thinks Brown might be bought out is an idiot. Kings don't want to be paying him for the next THIRTEEN years when he could easily be taken in the expansion draft or could be packaged in a trade in a few years.

Yep, they will be lining up for Dustin in the expansion draft. I can also see a line forming for a Brown "package" for the privilege to pay him $6m per year until 2022.

And I thought the Bickell deal was bad.

The only way the Kings are getting Brown off their roster is retaining 50% salary in trade or trading him to the Nucks.

So much anger on this thread.

I for one am still celebrating that Pennsylvania won the cup.

I'm still relieved that JVR won't be traded to the Leafs.

buying out brown is simply unfeasible from an economics standpoint, and has been covered numerous times. unless someone is willing to deal for him with picks/prospects to entice, or he gets taken in the expansion draft, the kings are stuck with him.

Well, there is 1 way...............

Does he travel to Canada very often...?....?......?

Malkin-Tarasenko would be insane.... but again, might as well start with Statsny, Shattenkirk, and their 1st ++

I can't see Malkin going to Chicago unless Pinarin comes back in return, and then you can throw in Anisimov and Hjalmarsson to make the cap figures close to equal. As far is trading Malkin for Subban, I think a better trade for both teams would be if Malkin going to Montreal for Galchenyuk, Pacioretty, and this years 1st round pick (9th overall). The whole motivation of trading Malkin is to acquire young talent, and that would be done with these 2 trades.

Vanek a buyout? NO WAY, you must be joking! It can't be! He hustles every shift, is the heart of the Wild, and earns his 6.5 Mil every night he steps on the ice!!!!

this.

hawks did well to shed bickell's salary, but largely that was possible because panarin is now what they hoped TT would turn into. credit the scouting and signing panarin last summer for giving them flexibility.
