Hey everyone. Been a while since I posted but it's finally getting close enough to draft day so I guess I'll get involved.
Love what Hexy had to say. Unless we're moving into the top 8-10 I prefer to stand pat and draft one of Kunin, Bellows or Rubstov. Though I wouldn't be totally unhappy with Jones, Gauthier, McAvoy, Fabbro, Asplund or (bit of a reach at 18OA) Mascherin.
Now if we were to move up I'm looking at Sergachev, Keller, Brown, or Bean. Again, I don't see it being a priority on Hexy's agenda but maybe targeting COL at 10th OA could work. They seen to be at somewhat of an organizational crossroads.
Something like Schenn, 18th, 2016 2nd, 2017 2nd, and Hagg for 10th and a 2016/17 4th
Change Hagg to Sanheim and take out one of the 2nd's?
Or maybe
Schenn, Laughton, Hagg, 18th and 2017 2nd? - Mordecai
You're serving up all of that to move up 8 spots? No, just no. |

How many have they really used?
I'm assuming since every team used the two compliance buyouts we aren't counting them. |

Yeah it's probably too much. Then again no team is going to give away a top 10 pick. Depends on who is left in that spot I guess. Like I said I'd rather stand pat at 18. |

Maybe I'm overvaluing Schenn but those seem like an overpayment to go up 8 spots to me.
I'm thinking Schenn, 18 and one 2nd either this or next draft should get you to 10...even with Schenn being an RFA.

I'd do Schenn, 18, 2 2nds and Hagg for #2 to get Laine. But WPG doesn't.

In theory sure. But again I doubt COL moves it for just a "fair" return. Probably not worth it in this draft. |

I'd love to move up. Don't get me wrong. I want to move up from 18 and I want to move up into the bottom of the 1st round or early into the second. I just can't expend all of that to get there. |

Hexy will want fair value or no deal. He said he's content to stay at 18 unless the right deal comes along. |

Why does it matter? - jmatchett383
Because then he can rip the team.
But for the record, 3. Briere, Bryzgalov, and now Umberger.
And after this off season other teams will join them in that number, some will pass them. But when the Flyers do it, each one counts as 2.

If a young forward with 20+ goals under his belt doesn't move you from 18 to 10 then just brush your hands together and walk away. Schenn +18 should move you into the top ten.
I don't think you're over valuing Schenn at all. |
