As I typed it I realized that they would need to eat more cap(50%) and add a 2017 1st. I would do it with something like that. I am basing this off of if we need to buy him out, eating salary puts the Kings on the hook for part of it.

Yeah I'm not alluding to some previous behavior or anything. I literally just meant what I said in a standalone context as an opinion.

I don't think it is bad to be competitive and push for success while you are 'rebuilding' so long as you don't become overzealous and rush it with some TDL acquisition that leverages your future when you don't really have a solid chance at being a contender yet regardless. You especially don't continue doing this once your window has closed.

It will be interesting to see which direction NYR takes because I think their window is closing pretty quick here.
