You protect Bogo cause you have to, Fowler, Risto and McCabe

Then you can protect 4 forwards. ROR Kane for sure. That leaves 2 more forwards that protect. If you sign Stamkos he is one of them. That leaves 1 more so out of: Moulson, Ennis (if he is here), Foligno (if he is here), Girgensons (if he is here), Larsson (if he is here) or another addition of a forward that you can protect. Plus 1 goalie (Lehner gets protected)

Eichel, Reinhart, Bailey, Fasching are already protected by the rules. As would Vesey (if he picks Buffalo) and whoever we draft this year.

So the Sabres aren't as screwed as people seem to think they are when it comes to the expansion draft.

Pittsburgh if they don't move Fleury is screwed as they would lose Murray instantly.

Anyone that expected a guy coming to a brand new team, new coaching system, after season ending shoulder surgery, then injuring his knee thus year, and with a roster coming off a 60% turnover and ALL in a new system...

Yea why didn't every guy go to the all star game. No growing pains.

To some the goal is to be a "hard worker" who's big and can hit and pass the puck. If you're fast and can score but you don't go into the dirty areas you can't be a Buffalo Sabre

Unfortunately not a lot of other teams wanted Myers either for some worth so he had to up the ante to get a talented, big, skilled winger and a tough, multi-skilled Dman whom the Jets were willing to deal.

Obviously dealing Myers alone wasn't getting TM much or enough. That might tell you the opinion of Myers around the league.

I am glad Myers and Stafford are gone. Happy to have Kane and Bogo. Also, what's done is done. Time to move on and focus on the upcoming draft, July 1 and ways to improve the team.

If Stamkos actually does come here and doesn't score 3 goals a game, people on this blog will have a stroke. They way the blast Kane, Bogo and a few others is unreal
