I'd love to get Stamkos like the rest of us, but my whole career as a Buffalo sports fan has taught me to expect disappointment. Lol

Maybe Cleveland winning last night shifted the earths balance and allowed bad luck cities to achieve greatness...

Or maybe it just proves Cleveland doesn't have crap on Buffalo in terms of bad luck and Stamkos will go to Toronto and get months of hype by the NHL media

It doesn't matter how good they are. We are currently better and have just as young prospects. If he's going where he thinks will be one of the best teams in the future it certainly won't be (frank)ing Toronto.

It very well may be. They are making good decisions.

I hate sticking up for them, but to pretend they are not trending up is just being oblivious to the whole thing.

Buffalo is coming out of its rebuild and has very few prospects in the Minors to show for it. Long term success could be a concern.

Toronto has a crap ton of picks 2 1's 2 2's and 2'3s this year. and an already talented system.

They are going to be good, as much as we want to admit or not.

stacked with goalie prospects
bailey
fasching
guhle
nelson
borgen
estephan
carrier
baptiste
cornel
karabacek
martin

6 picks in the top 90 for this coming draft

we have enough prospects to keep it going, as long as top 6 players perform IMO

toronto has Two first round picks and two second round picks.

It will be Matthews+++

- ImThatGuy

I think Guhle is going to be a solid top 4 core D so we'll be keeping up with him. I also think the Leafs will use some of those picks in deals for established talent. Of course now with the expansion draft they will have to watch who they get and who they have to protect.

Not every pick is a hit.... We also have Guhle, Bailey. If they were in the Leafs organization both would be hyped likely by yourself as well like they were going to be future all stars

I was quoting someone who said Plus whoever we add (Referring to Sabres) in this draft.

So it's ok to assume Buffalo drafts and hits but not Toronto?

I fail to see how that is fair.

I am a Sabres fan through and through, but I also see that Toronto what Toronto is quietly building, or trying to do.

I just can't picture it working out for us. And I'm not even one of those "Buffalo sucks, bad luck, inferiority complex" people. Lol

They are building to something but they are where were before last years draft which is coming off dead last place and very little in terms of actual quality roster players. They also don't have as much cap room as people think. I'm not saying they aren't trending upwards but we are a lot closer to the cup then they are. Getting Stamkos and one top 4 D easily pushes us into playoff conversation. Not so sure the same can be said about the Leafs right now

lol let it stand for the record that i would never do that

There is a reason im only on season 3 of walking dead and have never watched Lost.

- Havic3814

I won't watch Walking Dead, and I've only watched the 1st episode of Lost but never went back to it. I might someday, but lots of stuff to watch before then. I still haven't watched Man in the High Castle.

This i will never agree with. No one has any idea who the next great goalie will be.

Who knew who Matt Murray was before this year?

Murray has always been well regarded actually. He was good with the baby Penguins. But yes nobody expected him to do what he did this year or exceed expectations like he did. But as a goaltender prospect he was touted to become an NHL starter a year or two down the line

Was just listening to WGR and their sports update said there may be a trade that the Sabres are a part of today. What's the deal with that? Is something floating around out there?

Stop making stuff up. Ennis being here or not, would have nothing to do with what player they are trying to bring in from Minny.

How am I making stuff up if I'm saying i don't think Sabres are cold ?

They're all about a family environment here ..

Because the friendship of two players not on the same team, has a zero percentage impact on what Murray would do to acquire a player.
