I don't see that happening - VANTEL
I think listening to John Davidson on 1040 yesterday was telling. I don't think they are sold on picking Puljujarvi as they are looking for the best pick for their team is what he said and not the bpa. If Puljujarvi does fall he might end up a being a decision for Benning to take him or Dubois. |

If Sergachev gets drafted it just means we picked up another piece by moving down a few spots - VANTEL

I think bpa has a different meaning to different people.
Ron Francis had a good line in that sportsnet video... |

That would be interesting, I'm okay with either one. |

The BJ's are in serious trouble in regards to the expansion draft. According to generalfanager The following players have no move clauses that have to be protected in expansion.
Dubinsky 5.85 thru 2021
Foligno 5.5 thru 2021
Hartnell 4.75 thru 2019
Clarkson 5.25 thru 2020
Tyutin 4.5 thru 2018
Bobrovsky 7.425 thru 2019
good luck. |

For sure but all the chatter about Columbus wanting a centre because they think they can contend now and have too manyngood prospects after winning the Calder Cup convincingly. They might be the more domino to fall if Edmonton chooses to trade their pick as well. |

I wonder if players will be able to waive their ntc before the expansion draft? |

If they do trade #3 they'll def be looking to package a Hartnell/Clarkson contract as well.

It is interesting when people talk about what you need to build a competitive club. having too many good prospects doesnt sound like the worst problem to have but I guess you sometimes have to trade a few for more picks or veteran help to balance out the lineup.
The league should really do something about the ntc and nmc's. waiting for next cba negotiations for another lockout to bail out the gm's and their teams. |
