Yeah, I've never tuned out because of the people on the broadcast, I tuned out because my team sucked. Now watch, the Leafs will have a lot of hype around them next year because of Matthews et al, probably be more competitive, and ratings will go up. Good for Ron though, because it was a non-reason why he lost the job in the first place.

Not sure why people cared so much what he wears. Go downtown and see that's the way alot of people dress. Just the way it is, look at half the guys walking in the rink. I could give a (frank) what he wore he was fine at talking hockey especially when you have to listen to Healy and the rest of the idiots on the broadcast. Friedman is probably the only one who's opinion means anything to me when it comes to the whole production they have. If people actually think Strombo was the problem with that broadcast well then.....

The wardrobe was a little silly, but I don't mind the new graphics and so on. When they have Adam Oates up on his feet demonstrating stuff, I don't mind that. All that stuff isn't Strombo anyway, that's the show.

Just so long as they keep Sophie. When she provides the cross-platform promotion social media updates, I get wood.

The suits were symptomatic of a "style over substance" approach. The fact is Strombo had absolutely NOTHING to say about hockey, other than being a complete and utter fanboy of various players. Just because you may not like Healey (which I don't either) shouldn't mean that you overlook the gross inadequacy of Strombo as a hockey announcer, and as you readily admit, the inadequacy of the entire broadcast team.

Fact is, I liked the guy's other program, The Hour, where he was great. But as a hockey guy?

Just because you may not like Healey (which I don't either) shouldn't mean that you overlook the gross inadequacy of Strombo as a hockey announcer, and as you readily admit, the inadequacy of the entire broadcast team.

That's fine and fair. He usually as the host would be the guy to start a conversation in which we got to listen to Kypreos and etc babble on about anyway. He would just bring up subjects then those other idiots would talk non sense about it. Saturday night headlines with Cox and Friedman was the only thing I liked about the show pretty much. And the opening montages.
