That sucks Strombo was better than Maclean. Lost all respect for Maclean and CBC after the 2011 playoffs.

The USGA dog and pony show is a bloody joke they should be embarrassed. DJ called an official over and it was ruled ok. Then they want to penalize him later and let him think about until the end of the round? Good for you DJ you shoved it up the USGA and PGA's ass.

Why can a crowd go bananas when a guy is making a free throw but can't make a sound when someone hits a golf ball? It's horsepoop.

Everytime someone or something comes along that challanges the golf norm, the game improves.

I'm not a huge fan of Strombo and found the new format a bit awkward at times, but i appreciated the attempt to try to change things up a bit and not be so square.
Strombo is ok in my books.

Kinda BS as the announcers said that DJ knows so he can strategize accordingly but his closest competitirs do not know. A scandal in the making & an American at that.

Lowry yesterday called a penalty on himself & DJ was dishonest IMO.

dishonest how? He grounded his club on the SIDE of the ball and the ball rolled backwards and to the right…no way did grounding that club cause that. DJ called the official over to rule and they ruled that if he did not ground his club BEHIND the ball it would not be deemed a penalty. The USGA avoided a massive controversy today and they are bloody lucky that stroke didn't cost DJ the win. For them to review it yet again and penalize him later for it was the joke.

It depends. If I recall it was an uphill slope to the pin but I still don't think he touched it. It moved about as much as a ball mark. Probably the mark that caused it to roll back like that.

Exactly and it really only rolled maybe a dimple or two. Could have been a blade of unbent grass that bent down as they rolled the greens like three or four times early that morning. No way his putter caused that in the side of the ball.

On that I would agree if that is the ambiance they are going for. This yelling after the tee shots in major tournaments (and more) is bush league.
