Just watched every goal the Pens scored in the playoffs linked to Lange's commentary. There were some beauties. Also, we scored on King Henry.... ALOT! - kgrpitt
he had a really bad playoffs. hell the team infront of him had a horrible playoffs too. it is obvious hank is on the steep decline (sadly for me as a swed and happily for me as a rival team fan.) |

that is the gm of the year that is asking. he got daley for scuderi so he can probably get the 6th overall for fleury - martox
No he can't ...I trust treliving not to overpay let alone massively overpay .... If Rutherford wants that I offer him a 4th rounder and let fleury rot on the bench in Pitt |

What are your thoughts on a deal centered around Fleury for Shinkaruk? My thought was Fleury + 4th for Shinkaruk. |

Not gonna happen, but the old man trying to get Calgary's 1st round pick.

Its the right starting point in negotiations for the Penguins. You have some time before the draft. Press for the #1. Offer some sweeteners. Talk about how Fleury is the best goalie on the market at a reasonable costs. Workhorse. Has won a cup. Statistically he's been getting better. Then make a deal for 2 2nds and maybe a B prospects or just 2 2nds. |

My trade proposal:
Fleury + 4th for Shinkaruk - cap1681
I think we are fine with

We can't go to war with only 6 d though. You need 7 legit NHL talents and two more who you can fee comfortable with plugging in due to injury. D depth is a need. |

There is just no shot this happens. But if it does well holy poop. I hope The Old Man never retires. |

I think it's probably a fair deal ... Part of me wants him to stay in cgy and flourish just to piss off Canucks fans but if we got fleury for him and he did great in Pitt that would be ok too |

Fleury is likely free for ownership if he's the difference between being a lottery pick or a playoff team. Its a good deal for both teams. You are probably underestimating how good of a player Fleury is and how good of a locker room guy he is for a team that needs leadership.
Might not make you a 2nd round playoff team, but certainly would project the flames into the playoffs with Fleury. Something like 2 2nds is probably a win for both teams. If you force Wideman into the trade then add something more.
Only way 6th pick comes our way is if its something like
sprong + Fleury = 6th pick + wideman
I'd consider that pretty fair. Sprong I would guess is like a 10-15th pick this year. |

Anderson was an average goalie on a great hockey team. He is going to get peppered in TO and the media will be all over it and him by Christmas.
Look how many goalies this has happened to the past 10 or so years. - MattStrat
Thinking that Andersen isn't good doesn't make Fleury any better of a fit for Toronto. |

Shinkaruk would fit into the Pens system perfectly. |

He's good just dont think he's that good. He had the luxury of playing behind a very, very solid team.
Yeah the Leafs are headed in the right direction...but so were the Oilers and if the Leafs actually do get better it wont be dramatically next year. It will take a few more years. You and I might understand that but the Leafs media wont. If Anderson's stats take a big drop, look out. I already feel bad for him. |

If we resign Schultz you have 7 NHL defenseman. No team starts the season with more than that. Pencil in a 3rd round pick trade for a 8D at the deadline. Would be nice if we had legit NHL prospects in our system, but I think that is very questionable. No team starts a NHL year with the 8D we had in the playoffs.
I think Schultz is the best fit that is UFA this year. Hopefully he is back.

He was talking about trading him to the Blues for Shattenkirk.
EDIT: nevermind. totally misread the name. Enough internet for me today. |

I just don't see the point of Pitt adding to get the 6th from the flames perspective ...plus BT is trying to move up to the Columbus pick with the 6th +
