I recall someone saying Freddy was a good fit for Toronto... That's not really important though. I think this sets the market for maf, late 2nd should get it done. - dr_soiledpants
Just going to ask that?"! So what about Bishop? |

Andersen to the Leafs. I think that takes TO out of the running for a Reimer return. Reimer $ per year doesn't worry me it's the term that he's going to want. I don't think the Flames should commit to a gap goalie for more than 2 or 3 years. Guys like Reimer and Bishop will want term over $. This is why I like the idea of Fleury. |

That's a little tougher to guage on my opinion. In reality it should be about the same (late 2nd.) He's an elite goalie (for now,) bit only one year left. Problem is keeping him doesn't effect expansion, and yzerman has shown that he's willing to potentially lose his pending ufa's. |

Well Andersen just got 5 x 5.5 or so... I think Reimer would come in a fair bit lower than that. |

Who does that leave looking for a goalie ? Calgary should be able to swing a pretty good deal for someone. Reimer 3 years at $3 million ? |

I'm honestly thinking Reimer = Ramo (non-injured). Reimer/Ortio/Ramo REALLY doesn't rock my socks so there goes 2016/17...
Its why I said (in response to JT's comment) wanting to be a playoff team and being a playoff team are along way apart. |

The truth is you guys would be getting the goalie that is more responsible for the Pens winning the cup than Murray. Murray basically played 2 above average games in the Washington series and was ehhh the rest. Fleury stood on his head when the team was all out of sorts earlier last season to keep the Pens in a position to turn it around. Murray was handed an Stanley Cup on a silver platter with a golden spoon. - Grinder47
you just cant help yourself...MM had the 3rd best save % in the playoffs...anyone who visits the Pens board knows this dude is a joke. He still thinks Craig Adams would be a great 4th line player for the Pens. |

Reimer is definitely Mr. Right Now but we need a goalie. If they can get him at $3million or so, he's still fit into the budget as a 1b if someone emerges in the next year or two....which I like. Of course Fleury is the legit no. 1 that I'm sure has BT focus right now. |

Why the heck would we give up anything for a broken down under performing playoff goalie? Flurry is 30, not the right age for this team, we need a stop gap goalie for a couple years that's what makes Reimer more attractive! He played well in Jose would be cheaper, if he was taken in the expansion draft so be it.
If Bt wants Fluery his first name better be Theo! |

2 years left on Fleury's contract...
Reimer barely played in San Jose
From every indication, MAF was great in the room, great with Murray and his development. Isn't that what we are trying to accomplish? A good tendie until Gillies is closer to prime time or are we Cup bound now? Reimer to me isn't any better than what we had in Ramo. |

Exactly a good ten die until Gillies is closer to prime time! Reimer to me isn't any worse than Ramo! I see way more potential for success with Reimer than Ramo, and he's free! Smaller cap hit, younger than Fluery and not injury pron!
But that's just one dopes opinion.
BT hasn't called me ye, how about you? |

Also it sounds like Columbus would trade the 3rd overall structured around cap relief.
BT made that Hamilton trade, so in my opinion anything can happen. We shall see.
Hey Clyde! Are you someone I can strongly agree with? |

I'm good with either Reimer or MAF but Reimer is very injury prone. He has yet to play more than 40 games in a season and missed long stretches over the last few years with various injuries.

Usually he's only good for one poorly thought out sentence per post. Hard to disagree too strongly unless he's throwing out insults without any content to back it up. Just as weak poster; no strong opinions. |

Objectively, Reimer's stats are way better than Ramo's. I'd be happy with MAF too though... even if he is just a stop gap to Gillies.

That's not a nice way to welcome the new guy. At least give him a few days to feel the place out first. |

You guys are (frank)ing crazy. Reimer is not equal to Ramo.
Reimer- 215 career gp/2.79gaa/0.914sv% all but 8 games with Toronto. Most games in a season is 37.
Ramo - 159gp/2.85gaa/0.906sv% split between Tampa and Calgary. Most games played in a season is 40.
They are not equal. Ramo is not coming back. |
