Buffalo has 10 million or so coming off the books next year plus the additional space they have right now which is double so even if Toronto has all this cap room freeing up it wont be close to Buffalo's. Yet again, advantage us. - bluengold12
Are you in straight denial that Toronto will ever be good?
I'm not comparing Buffalo and Toronto. They cant be compared. There is no advantage because they are at different stages of the game.
Toronto will be good, and it is going to be within the next 2-3 years.

Risto was technically in his first full year last year also he played three less games due to injury. I don't want to hear about Reilly being better then Risto give me a break.
And no our goaltending isn't a lock but it's a (frank) ton better then the utter crap Toronto has - bluengold12
I don't really know if risto is better than rielly, it's way too early to tell. |

Well they want to move up and the Oilers want a lot to do it, take Hartnell and maybe it works. Moving up to 3 or 4 is but not so much the players yet. - SABRES 89
It depends on what the plus is.
Like 8th and Ennis for Hartnell and 3rd I would be good with.
Draft the Fin
Sign Stamkos
Sign Vesey
trade Girgensons plus for Fowler (if that's still on the table)
Done.
I think a third line of Foligno Larsson and Hartnell would be pretty good and fun to watch. |
|
|
|
Would anyone give up the 8th pick + for the 3rd pick and Hartnell? - SABRES 89
It depends what the plus is but yeah. Dreger just tweeted that it might take a big contract back like Hartnell's along with 3. They have to clear cap space. How long is Hartnell's contract, that's what I'm curious about.
#3. Jesse Puljujarvi – RW, Karpat (Finland)
A versatile, polished forward with good playmaking instincts and a highly developed two-way sense, Puljujarvi recently completed his second season of professional hockey with Karpat in Finland’s top league, amassing 13 goals and 28 points for the league’s second-place club.
He was even better when playing against his peer group, scoring five goals and a tournament-best 17 points in host Finland’s seven-game cruise to the gold medal at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship. more of Kris Bakers writeup

A. That's not true
B. We have no prospect that could carry Mitch Marner or Kasperi Kapanen's jock
C. They have enough assets to make a deal for an O'Reilly caliber player. - sbroads24
We have Sam Reinhart. They have NO one with his potential unless you want to throw in Marner then you lose him as a prospect and he matches up lesser than Reinhart.
They have a few marginal assets and a few semi decent ones. We're not talking about the 04-05 Rochester Americans here... |

Kane and JVR are washes
Eichel and Reinhart are NHL established 20 goal scorers.
Risto is better than Rielly and Gardiner.
Gionta and Lupul have been a wash lately.
Ullmark and Peterson are better than any goalie prospects they have.
Our depht of Bailey, Baptiste, Fasching, Hurley, Olofosson, karabacek, and Possler is better than what they have after Marner, Nylander, and Kapenen.
They don't have an ROR unless they get Stamkos.
IF we get Vesey and someone like Puljujarvi or Tkachuk by trading up like it sounds like we are trying to.. that would be HUGE in equaling out Matthews.
Both teams are good.
We are coming out of the bottom. They are still in the tank for another year or two I bet. - JVince11
Jeremy Bracco and Connor Brown are just as good as Bailey/Baptiste or Fasching |

Allegedly, The cup winning goalie had seasons with 3+ and 4+ GAA when he was a prospect. You never know where goalies are going to come from.

It's
1 ov
2. Benn
3. Hall
Then
^^^^^^^ - GERBE!!!75PTS
You should really check out Pacriocy and Parise are HANDS down better. Especially statistically.
Parise has had 6 30 goal seasons and a 45 goal season. Not ot mention a 94 pt season and a 82 pt season. Plus another 4 60 pt seasons.
Pacioretty has had 4 30 goals seasons and two at 39 and 37. 4 60 pt seasons.
Hall has never even scored 30 but has had 1 80 pt and 1 65 pt season.
i think you are slightly infatuated with Hall man. I really do. |

Bracco hasn't done crap. Bailey proved he can produce in the AHL. Brown has been in AHL two full seasons. He looks good but who knows.
We also have Guhle. Fasching played a few games in the NHL coming from college we have no idea what his potential is. Give me a break |

hartnell is a physical LW that is bonafide top 6 even at 34 years old.
he still has 20, 28, and 23 goal seasons in the past 3 years with over 100 PIM each season. |
