I can't help but think if someone was going to trade for Stamkos' rights, it would have happened already...
- Cup Crazy '07

I bet they want a better chance at signing him before the draft if they are giving up a 2nd rounder plus a NHL ready prospect winger.

Stamkos would still have to waive his NMC even for his rights to move too. He might just say... I don't want to deal with this... Lets just see what happens at hte draft and then I can talk to teams after.

- turbo044

hartnell is a physical LW that is bonafide top 6 even at 34 years old.

he still has 20, 28, and 23 goal seasons in the past 3 years with over 100 PIM each season.

- JVince11

The only concern I have with Hartnell, is when he goes, he is going to go fast. It wont be a casual breakdown. One season he just wont have it anymore. and you will have a 20 point $4.75MM player

Ok thanks, I don't know much about the kids in the draft but most of you folks do and that's how I find out.

Mathews

Laine
Pujavari (spelling)

I really liked Pujavari coming into this season. I thought he was the better of the 2 Fins but Laine and his play at the World Juniors and how he finished up his season helped him move to the 2nd rated prospect. I would be happy with either to be honest!

Fin Stamkos ROR
Vesey Eichel Reinhart

droooooooool

Kane Larsson Hartnell
Foligno Schaller Gionta

wow...

Way too good to be true hahahaha

Yup if you can move Ennis or somehow Moulson then there isn't a question in my mind you make that trade
- Stripes77

We have to move Ennis or Moulson the only way to move Moulson is to add to the deal, and that could be done.

I would rather head into the draft with a signed sealed and delivered Stamkos than playing the wait and see game.

It gives Murray more flexibility to make moves knowing he already made his biggest move before the draft.

You can't put the rookies in the top 6 immediately and then Kane as 3LW and Hartnell is also a career LW too.

Moulson and D-Lo.

I think I am starting to like Tkachuk as much as Puljujarvi honestly.

Needless to say, GMTM has tons of different options. Am I right in seeing TOR only has $7.6m in cap space?

As much as I hate to say it, all is not lost if we don't get Stamkos but it will still hurt.

Capfriendly has it at 7.6 Generalfanger has it at 10.

Regardless they don't have enough currently to sign Stamkos

I always had Puljujarvi as my 2nd rated prospect.

Laine really stepped up his play. But I think Puljujarvi is the better all around player.

If Marc Savard can be traded yet again as can Pronger 2 useless players, Moulson can be moved.

Oh I know. It will hurt a lot less if he doesn't sign in Toronto either...

That is what Capfriendly says. They have 20 contracts already as well. But they move Horton back to LTIR and buyout Cowen like they have said and it'll change quite a bit.

Was it Laine or Puljujarvi that got the hit to his foot by Perry at Worlds and couldn't finish?

Me too, but he is a center, not exactly our biggest need..........I will be more upset if we draft Chychrun, lose out on Vesey or see someone else trade up to #3 or #4 in a deal that doesn't give up a ton. Hoping GMTM is on the line with CLB now finishing something. Reunte the Foligno's: Foligno and #8and a 3rd for Hartnell and #3

The plus to get us to 3 is going to cost us something that doesn't cost a lot right now, not a big salary but has a lot of value. Not sure what that is. That's out of my pay grade.

Next years first?

I am back and forth on Stamkos. He has been downhill slightly lately. He wasn't very present in their Stanley Cup appearance playoff run and they sitll made the ECF this year without him for the last half hte season and playoffs.

Do i think a new environment would do him wonders.... absolutely. Do I think we would be signing a 60 goal scorer though.. no. Not at all. Or even a 50 goal scorer.. nope. I think he will be a 30-45 goal scorer which is amazing but he is not a 60 goal scorer.

If we don't sign him... I am fine with that... as long as he doesn't go to Toronto honestly. Even if it is DET or MON or NYR. I don't care as much.
