I'd be surprised if he comes here. Not unhappy, just surprised. I have a hard time imaging any of the more sought after free agents choosing to sign with what was one of the worst teams in the league last year, unless they get massively overpaid.

Have you seen real estate prices in Vancouver? It's a nice place to live with solid locker room. Definitely worse places to play! Most cup contenders don't have he cap space

I'm in the Mackenzie camp. Stamkos to buffalo. Play near home without dealing with azzholes like Simmons, Cox and Healy on a nightly basis. They are also 2 or 3 yrs ahead of Toronto in the rebuild

Leafs also have more cap than that. Buyout of Cowen coming, they should have a solid 10-13 million to play with.

The sooner you come to terms with managements plan the easier it will be to exercise patience. A full rebuild is never going to happen while the Sedins are here. Aqulini would never sign up for 5 -7 years of being the Leafs or Oilers
