There is no way the agent can address anything other than what he said, it's already a joke Eichel wooed him, since Eichel CANNOT extend a contract nor is apart of the Sabres Managment staff, he can can woo him all he wants. Is this a loophole because the entry level contract $ is the same with any team, yes, all they need is a signature from Vesey....finally, if all of a sudden Vesey signs BEFORE Aug 15th after playing hardball, it clearly looks like tampering.

To be honest, I don't thing Vesey is a good fit for Toronto. I think Boston is perfect for him. Lou will NEVER promise an unproven kid ice-time especially when the Leafs have Marner, Hyman, Soschnikov, Nylander and Brown fitting for a spot on the roster. Vesey would have to earn it like everyone else and he may not want to do that.

I can totally see GMTM offering the moon and the stars for this kid. Nothing wrong with being aggressive though. Good luck

After touring the Sabres facilities he could end up deciding to sign, or maybe Eichel talks him into signing with the team, who knows. He also could decide to to become a UFA.

Why would he waive his chance at free agency to sign with Buffalo? Lots of players have lots of buddies scattered across the NHL, I doubt he'll forsake his moment just to play with Eichel.

I'm legit confused. There might be some whacky rules since it's NCAA and he's been what four years since being drafted? In most cases if you trade for the player before July first, you have exclusive negotiating rights. I assumed Nashville could sign him before August and now Buffalo can. Is this wrong?
