I look at it this way, for NEXT season (2017-18):
Reinhart-Eichel-Vesey
Kane-Stamkos-Bailey
Ennis-O'Reilly-Fasching
Foligno-Schaller-Larsson
Is Vesey a top RW? Probably not. Is Bailey a top 6 RW? Maybe not. But this is how I see us copying Pittsburgh this year. You have 3 lines that all have a good center and wingers who can (hopefully by that time) score. If Bailey and Fasching grow like that they will be cheap options.
P.S. don't put too much stock in the order of the lines. If you want Stamkos and ROR's line above Eichel it's still the same thing - Zschalberg

ROR would definitely deserve more than 3rd line minutes.

Yeah I think he has one of his boys staying there keeping an eye out but it is a gorgeous house. The wife and I almost bought a house across the street from him a few years back but the commute was too far for my liking. - Stripes77

All 3 lines could get equal time. The line thats producing the best that night , gets more time . It changes vs every opponent. |

The fact that you have nylander penciled in in the top six with no sign of Moulson, gionta or ennis makes this a very unrealistic line up for next season |

Yes. I think Royce's comments today that all of hte DMen are a year away and then Murray's comments about how they need a top 4 Dman.. top end LH DMan via trade shows that they want an immediate impact instead of one later. DMen take a lot longer to mature and be ready.
I bet Juolevi would be the quickest to make an impact but Chychrun/Sergechev wouldn't even make the club until 2017 and then not play top 4 minutes until 2018.
i think we end up with trading #8 for a Fowler or Shattenkirk.. or we take Nylander or Keller honestly. |

if you read the original body that I replied to... it was for 2017-2018 my man.
Gionta will be UFA. I'd love ennis to make a presence and be a 3rd line RW. I bet Moulson is bought out if he has another down year like he did this year. |

Flip em then, I still like it.
Girgensons, IMO, is traded but if not would take Schaller's spot. D-Lo is the odd man out but I'd be okay with him taking Foligno's spot if he can't keep it together. Moulson I either see as a healthy scratch, sent to the minors (1M cap relief), traded (likely retaining salary), or bought out. None of these options are that good but, to me, IF Bailey and Fasching can contribute more (and that's if they progress as hoped) then the money shouldn't mean that he gets the spot over one of them. |

D-Lo just signed a 2 year extension yesterday. He will be here in some capacity in 2017 whether it be as #13 or 4th line. |

His house is across the street from average family homes to put it lightly.
Also with my job being in Tonawanda at the time there was no way I was taking route 5 that far everyday! |

Depending on where your commute is to, absolutely. Don't forget, I grew up even further south of that in Angola. Even having to commute into Hamburg in the winter can be brutal. I loved growing up there, but at this point in my life, I'm all about convenience. If I ever did have kids though, I'd think about moving out further again though. - HonkFortheGoose
Yeah it was Tonawanda.
Plus my entire family lives in West Seneca, OP or South Buffalo...
So we decided to move to Florida |

If I were D-Lo, I would offer PK36 $22.00/hr, up to 25 hours a week, through August 15, 2016, to teach me how to kill the penalty. I think he would probably take the gig.
Then I would discard any of the information that had to do with torpedoing himself into the boards, but use the rest of it.
I could see D-Lo having a better chance to get reliable icetime this way, and it would be nice to keep Kaleta off the foodstamps. |

I don't think Foligno has played to a level that his RFA gets another raise above the 2.25M he makes now. He is already the 2nd highest paid RFA at LW this off-season.
I think he gets punted in a trade.
Trade #8, Foligno's rights, and a 3rd to ANA for Fowler, Pirri, and #24 (maybe)
Take DeBrincat at #24. Juniors 2-time 50 goal scorer.
Have a 3rd line scorer in Pirri now who is an RFA as well. |

ROR would definitely deserve more than 3rd line minutes. - Sabre_Tooth
Look at Pittsburgh's 3rd line this year. Kessel led them in scoring in the playoffs and got plenty of ice time. Last 3 games:
Kessel: 15:18, 19:11, 16:14
Crosby: 21:03, 20:57, 19:41
Like I said, you want to move ROR's line to 2nd and Jack's to 3rd and Stamkos up, whatever. Point being, 3 scoring lines each centered by a good player with complementary wingers on the sides.
EDIT: Unless that was the 2nd line technically and Malkin was on the 3rd? Either way it works lol |

It should come as no surprise if Goligoski takes himself out of UFA and signs a five-year deal with the Coyotes in near future.
