I hear ya, but honestly, if we are ok with 11, what's 12?

Exactly. People are always worrying about the cap. The only team that has run into a small amount of cap issues, has won 3 cups during that period.

This year the cap was going to go down, or remain flat, yet it's going up 4 million again. Next year there will be an expansion team, cap will shoot up with the 500 million fee.

Stamkos at any cost in my book.

Haha! Personally, I'm all for it! But I do think many of the arguments against it are reasonable...

Callahan had hip surgery won't be ready to play, Tampa may get 5.8 mill in cap relief.

I think due to his recent numbers a 7 year 9.5 million dollar deal is fair. Since life isn't fair I'm willing to go up to 10.5 but it's just the notion of saying he is the best player in the league because he is being paid like one that bugs me when in fact his numbers don't back that up. He's an upper echelon 95 percentile player in the league but I guess I have a hard time paying him as if he's the best is all

I could be wrong but I don't think expansion money is classified as hockey related revenues and would not effect the salary cap value.

Also, if Vegas doesn't generate the league average revenue, the cap will go down.

He would/will be the best UFA in the history of the NHL, he will get the biggest contract in the NHL.

The Sabres biggest need is a finisher. So basically the opposite of Moulson last year. A guy who scores goals from 4' away. A Dave Andreychuk, a Thomas Vanek. It looks like Reinhart could develop into that and by using his smarts, something the other 2 didn't exactly have in spades, can avoid the beating the other 2 took.

USA soccer had exactly 0 SOG against Argentina in a 4-0 loss. Yikes. It was the semis too, so it's not like the US is terrible.

Are you having a hernia test while typing?

Stamkos is a goal scorer, not necessarily a finisher. Pavel Bure was one of the best goal scorers ever, but his average goal came from about 40' out. He was not a finisher. Stamkos is a goal scorer, but most of his goals come from the top of the circle area. How many of the Pens goals in the playoffs came from that far out? Not many they were all within 10'.

No offense, but this doesn't make sense. If you score goals, you're a finisher, doesn't matter where you are on the ice when you do it.
