The only reason why you are here is because you are intimidated by what the Sabres are building and are trying to push the Rangers past accomplishments on a team that is built for the future as if it is going to bring our savvy down.

We aren't going any where. Buffalo Sabres are on the rise.. we have the kids... we have some very good vets... we have a cup winning coach.. we have an aggressive management.. we have an owner that has nothing holding him back.

Sabres are going to be contenders very soon. Get used to it.

I won't deny that, but there was something about him that just wasn't right. His whole game just seemed off. Not sure if he had some sort of nagging injury or what, but he wasn't the Lundqvist that I'm used to watching. He may not always be able to bail the rest of the team out, but he wasn't even capable of trying to it seemed this year in the playoffs.

This will sound like an old fogey talking, but if we just ignore the trolls they will be gone and we can get back to enjoying the week in rumors and Sabres discussion.

He said that they are always contenders purely because of Henrik... He said it is in his hands. So I just reiterated how that went. I completely agree that a goalie doesn't make a team. He said it though.

a goalie can make a team.. look at the habs first half of the season when they had price in the back end.. they were much looser and it showed because they were scoring left and right and had by far the best record in the NHL. then price goes down, they tighten up and the bottom falls out.

Problem with basing your team off of one player is that if said player get hurt (or has a bad streak) you are screwed.....

Why am I jealous? I have no idea how good he is and have not been desperately hoping he signs with the Leafs. I do think he will become a FA on August 15th and then decide where he will play. He may decide on Buffalo because of thos Brmance issues you seem so fixated on or he may decide on the basis of the criteria he mentioned in the quote.

A lot of people actually do. Maybe not in NYC, but other cities. It's a niche, but it's very fun and very affordable. Considering Buffalo had arguably the best pro lax player to ever play, it was fun. Still is.

I think Vesey should sign in Buffalo. Money will be the same regardless and it's the best opportunity for top six minutes. Too many up and comers in Toronto to be secured a spot with certainty.

This is the biggest mistake uneducated fans make. Star player X moving from one team to another and thinking they will up their goal totals 50% because they have an upgrade in line mate. It's usually not the linemate that makes a difference, it's the MINUTE increase, PP time, opportunity. Stamkos already has top minutes, PP time, etc... And didn't play with scrubs either. It's why Phil kessel going to Toronto to playing with Crosby and Malkin didn't go from 60 pts to 100. He stayed at 60. Or why saad had a big increase in pts, his usage on Columbus skyrocketed. Sure a guy like stamkos can have a career year again can happen, but to think he's gonna automatically score 50 goals because eichel is better than his previous linemates can be foolish.
