So what is Hall worth as a comparable straight trade on a #1/#2 D-man? I agree though Hamonic does not get Hall straight up.

I would do it.

It's been beaten to death, but Hall for Faulk as the basis of a deal makes a lot of sense value-wise.

Hall for Barrie would require a significant add from the Avs (not MacKinnon). Maybe Barrie + Rantanen, although the Avs probably can't afford to be giving up their only elite winger prospect.

Hall is probably worth around a top 5-12 RD in the NHL. I don't think Hamonic quite makes that list.
